los Angeles acquired him from Florida for a fifth-round draft

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings placed high-scoring forward Jeff Carter on injured reserve Saturday with a lower-body injury. Air max 2016 UK Blue . The Kings also recalled forwards Tyler Toffoli and Linden Vey from the minors before their home game against Nashville, and announced defenceman Keaton Ellerby was claimed off waivers by Winnipeg. Carter has five goals and four assists in 14 games this season, tying Justin Williams for the team lead in goals. The right wing led the Western Conference with 26 goals last season for the seventh 20-goal campaign of his NHL career. The Kings havent specified the nature of Carters injury, but he was wearing a walking boot Friday at practice. Carter apparently was hurt during Los Angeles 4-3 overtime victory over San Jose on Wednesday night. Carters absence is a blow to the defence-minded Kings already modest offence, which is ranked 18th in the NHL with 2.57 goals per game. His move to injured reserve is retroactive to Oct. 30. The 21-year-old Toffoli is getting his first call-up of the season after appearing in 10 regular-season games and 12 playoff contests with the Kings last year. Toffoli had two goals and four assists in the post-season when Los Angeles reached the Western Conference finals. Toffoli leads the Kings AHL affiliate in Manchester with 12 points this season. Vey is a former fourth-round pick who has spent the last two seasons in Manchester, collecting 67 points in 74 games last season. He has yet to play in an NHL game. Ellerby still hadnt played for the Kings this season, failing to crack the Kings defensive rotation after playing in 35 regular-season games and five playoff games last season. Los Angeles acquired him from Florida for a fifth-round draft pick in February. Black Red Air Max 90 Sale . The Magic have lost three in a row and started this stay with a 101-94 loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday night. The Jazz jumped on the Magic early, taking a 12-point lead after the first quarter. Utah took a 49-43 margin into the break. Trey Burke banked in a jumper to cap a 10-5 sprint and help Utah re-establish control, staking it to a 62-52 spread. It was up by as many as 17 before settling for an 81-66 margin going into the fourth. Orlando never got within less than six in the final 12 minutes. We just have to play harder, said Orlando guard Evan Fournier. We cant be down 12 against Utah in the first quarter. Thats on us. Tobias Harris netted 24 points and Fournier provided 21 for the Magic, who have dropped five of their last six games. Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and nine rebounds and Elfrid Payton scored 11 off the bench. The Magic still have to face the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers on this homestand. The Sixers have lost five straight, including all three on a recent residency at home. They begin a seven-game road trip Sunday then visit the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suuns and Los Angeles Clippers. Black Blue Air Max 90 Sale. On Friday, the Sixers fell to the Charlotte Hornets, 109-91. The loss dropped the Sixers to 0-14 at home this season. They are five losses from matching the 1993-94 Dallas Mavericks (0-19) for the worst home start in NBA history, but they wont be getting closer to the mark any time soon. Their next home game is Jan. 5 against Cleveland. Robert Covington and Tony Wroten scored 19 points apiece to lead Philadelphia and Michael Carter-Williams had 14 points and 10 assists. The Sixers trailed by 20 at the half. The first half set the stage for the loss, said Sixers coach Brett Brown. I thought the second half was better. We searched and found a group that got us (closer). The Sixers traded guard Alexey Shved to Houston on Friday as part of the three-team deal that sent Corey Brewer from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Rockets. In return, the Sixers got injured forward Ronny Turiaf from Minnesota and a 2015 second-round draft pick from Houston. The Sixers also acquired the rights to Spanish League player Sergei Lishchuk, who was drafted 10 years ago but has never played in the NBA. The Magic dispatched the Sixers by two in Philly on Nov. 5 when Harris made a buzzer-beater. Orlando has taken three straight in the series and six in a row as the host. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China JerseysWholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

a telephone interview with The Associat

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. Mark McGwire Athletics Jersey . -- Pete Rose sounded bowled over. Charlie Hustle, who famously flattened Ray Fosse to score the winning run in the 1970 All-Star game, couldnt believe Major League Baseball intends to eliminate home-plate collisions by 2015 at the latest. "What are they going to do next, you cant break up a double play?" Rose said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press after MLB announced its plan Wednesday. "Youre not allowed to pitch inside. The hitters wear more armour than the Humvees in Afghanistan. Now youre not allowed to try to be safe at home plate?" Rose said. "Whats the game coming to? Evidently the guys making all these rules never played the game of baseball." New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson, chairman of the rules committee, made the announcement at the winter meetings, saying the change would go into effect for next season if the players association approved. Safety and concern over concussions were major factors -- fans still cringe at the thought of the season-ending hit Buster Posey absorbed in 2011. "Ultimately what we want to do is change the culture of acceptance that these plays are ordinary and routine and an accepted part of the game," Alderson said. "The costs associated in terms of health and injury just no longer warrant the status quo." In a sport long bound by tradition, a ban will be a major step. MLB also is instituting a vast increase in the use of instant replay by umpires next season in an effort to eliminate blown calls. The NFL reached a settlement last summer in a concussion-related lawsuit by former players for $765 million, and a group of hockey players sued the NHL last month over brain trauma. Banned for life in 1989 following a gambling investigation, Rose insists Fosse was blocking the plate without the ball, which is against the rules. Fosse injured a shoulder, and his career went into a downslide. "Since 1869, baseball has been doing pretty well," Rose said. "The only rules they ever changed was the mound (height) and the DH. I thought baseball was doing pretty good. Maybe Im wrong about the attendance figures and the number of people going to ballgames." Alderson said wording of the rules change will be presented to owners for approval at their Jan. 16 meeting in Paradise Valley, Ariz. Details must be sorted out, such as what should happen if a catcher blocks the plate without the ball? "The exact language and how exactly the rule will be enforced is subject to final determination," he said. "Were going to do fairly extensive review of the types of plays that occur at home plate to determine which were going to find acceptable and which are going to be prohibited." Approval of the players union is needed for the rules change to be effective for 2014. "If the players association were to disapprove, then the implementation of the rule would be suspended for one year, but could be implemented unilaterally after that time," Alderson said. The union declined comment, pending a review of the proposed change. Some players spoke up on Twitter. "No more home plate collisions?! What is this? NFL quarterbacks are catchers now?" Oakland outfielder Josh Reddick wrote. "Nothing better than getting run over and showing the umpire the ball. Please dont ban home plate collisions," Pittsburgh rookie catcher Tony Sanchez posted. "Totally disagree," added retired catcher John Flaherty, now an analyst with the Yankees YES Network. Discussion to limit or ban collisions has intensified since May 2011, when Posey was injured as the Marlins Scott Cousins crashed the plate. Posey, San Franciscos All-Star catcher, sustained a broken bone in his lower left leg and three torn ligaments in his ankle, an injury that ended his season. Posey returned to win the NL batting title and MVP award in 2012, when he led the Giants to their second World Series title in three seasons. In Game 5 of this years AL championship series, Detroit catcher Alex Avila was pulled a couple innings after being run over at the plate by Bostons David Ross, a fellow catcher sidelined for much of the season by concussions resulting from foul tips. "This is, I think, in response to a few issues that have arisen," Alderson said. "One is just the general occurrence of injuries from these incidents at home plate that affect players, both runners and catchers. And also kind of the general concern about concussions that exists not only in baseball but throughout professional sports and amateur sports today. Its an emerging issue, and one that we in baseball have to address, as well as other sports." Former catchers Joe Girardi, Bruce Bochy and Mike Matheny -- all now managing in the majors -- attended Wednesdays meeting. "I dont think its completely sparked by anything thats happened in baseball as much as whats happening outside of baseball and how its impacting people and impacting the welfare of each sport," said Matheny, now managing the St. Louis Cardinals. But not everyone is in favour of a change. "I lost time as a catcher being run over a couple different times, but I thought it was part of my job and I enjoyed the contact," said Girardi, the New York Yankees manager. "Now Im not so sure that everyone enjoys contact. But I love football, so I liked it." MLB intends to have varied tiers of punishment. "I think there will be two levels of enforcement," Alderson said. "One will be with respect to whether the runner is declared safe or out based on conduct. So, for example, intentionally running over the catcher might result in an out call. So I think that the enforcement will be on the field as well as subsequent consequences in the form of fines and suspensions and the like." Drafting the rule figures to be complicated. "Does it include at every base or just home plate?" Baltimore manager Buck Showalter said. "Whats considered blocking the plate and how do you define all of it?" The NCAA instituted a rule on collisions for the 2011 season, saying "contact above the waist that was initiated by the base runner shall not be judged as an attempt to reach the base or plate." The umpire can call the runner out and also eject the player if contact is determined to be malicious or flagrant. The rule is likely to have an effect on youth leagues, too, where player safety is a primary concern. Little League runners must either slide or try to get around fielders. Plate collisions often are prohibited in high-school ball. "The actual detail, frankly the kinds of plays that were trying to eliminate, we havent finely determined," Alderson said. "I would expect to put together 100 of these plays and identify which ones we want to continue to allow and others that we want to prohibit, and draft a rule accordingly." Sonny Gray Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla. Marcus Semien Athletics Jersey .C. - Jaedon Descheneau scored a hat trick as the Kootenay Ice beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 7-4 to take a 3-1 lead in their Western Hockey League playoff series Thursday.ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers have asked the NFL to approve joint practice sessions during training camp this season and next year. Buffalo coach Doug Marrone said holding practices against another team is something hes done in the past and "truly believes in." The Steelers would host the Bills this summer at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., then wwould visit the Bills camp at St. Stephen Vogt Athletics Jersey. . John Fisher College outside Rochester, N.Y. in 2015. The Steelers held joint training camp practices with the Washington Redskins in the 1980s and 1990s. Marrone said he thinks the practices could provide "a good working relationship for both teams." The exact dates will be determined after the NFL preseason schedule is release. Cheap JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

LAKELAND, Fla. Thomas Vermaelen Barcelona Jersey . -- The Detroit Tigers agreed to terms Monday with seven players on contracts for the 2014 season. Detroit announced agreements with right-handers Jose Ortega, Luke Putkonen and Evan Reed, left-handers Kyle Lobstein and Drew Smyly, infielder Nick Castellanos and outfielder Steven Moya. Smyly is expected to move into the rotation after an impressive 2013 showing in the bullpen. Castellanos has been considered one of the organizations top prospects and will likely play third base this year in the majors. The Tigers now have 32 players on the clubs 40-man roster under contract for 2014. Marc Bartra Barcelona Jersey . Heyward-Bey did not practice all week because of a hamstring injury. Coach Chuck Pagano said Heyward-Bey was expected to miss at least a week and they signed former New England receiver Deion Branch to help fill the void. Marc Bartra Jersey .com) - Ottawas Kyle Turris, Bostons Patrice Bergeron and St.DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys tackle Josh Brent was released from jail on Sunday following his conviction for a drunken car crash that killed his friend and teammate, Jerry Brown, the Dallas County sheriffs office said. The 26-year-old Brent was convicted in January of intoxication manslaughter for the December 2012 crash that killed Jerry Brown, a Cowboys practice squad player. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years probation. It was not immediately clear whether he would be required to report to a rehab facility to complete his six-month sentence, which was expected to end in July. Brent crashed his Mercedes sedan on a suburban Dallas highway on the way back from a nightclub. Brown was in the passengers seat. Witnesses recalled seeing Brent trying to pull Brown from the wreckage of the vehicle. Tests later showed Brent to have a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 per cent, more than twice thhe legal limit for drivers in Texas. Barcelona Jersey. Brent faced up to 20 years in prison for intoxication manslaughter, and prosecutors pressed hard for prison time, saying his case would send a message to other would-be drunken drivers. But Browns mother, Stacey Jackson, testified she had forgiven Brent and that "you cant go on in life holding a grudge." Brent and Brown were college teammates at the University of Illinois and roommates in Texas, where Brown was a practice squad linebacker for the Cowboys. Brent was a defensive tackle for the Cowboys. He retired from the NFL months before his January trial, though he could attempt to be reinstated now that he has been released. Its unclear whether the NFL will suspend him before he can play again. At least one Cowboys player, linebacker Sean Lee, attended part of Brents trial, and owner Jerry Jones has said he is supportive of Brent. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

he Phillies manager says the second baseman

CHICAGO -- Ryne Sandberg loves the way Chase Utley plays the game. Jonathan Toews Team Canada Jersey . The Phillies manager says the second baseman reminds him of the way he used to play during Hall of Fame career. So of course Utley delivered on a blustery day at Wrigley Field. Utley hit a two-run homer and an RBI single, helping Philadelphia beat the Chicago Cubs 7-2 on Friday in a historic home opener at the majors second oldest ballpark. "It was cold out there and the wind was blowing. It made it even colder," Utley said. "But I thought overall we swung the bats pretty well." John Mayberry Jr. also had a two-run drive for his fourth career pinch-hit homer as Philadelphia bounced back after dropping the last two games of its opening series in Texas. Ben Revere and Domonic Brown had three hits apiece, and Brown also drove in two runs. The Phillies also got a strong outing from Roberto Hernandez, who pitched into the sixth inning in his first game after signing a $4.5 million, one-year contract with Philadelphia in the off-season. "He did his job today. He looked good," Sandberg said. "Really liked his two-seam fastball, action on it was going down pretty good." Welington Castillo hit a solo homer for the Cubs, who have dropped four consecutive home openers for the first time since 1991-94. Travis Wood (0-1) struck out eight in 6 1-3 innings, but was charged with four runs, three earned, and six hits. "Id like to have a couple pitches back," Wood said. "The one to Utley, the one there at the end to Revere that ended up chasing me from the ballgame." Wrigley Field was all dressed up for the first game of its 100th anniversary season. There were big blue banners on each side of the red sign that welcomes visitors to the beloved ballpark, and fans headed to the outfield bleachers strolled past historical pictures from the Cubs longtime home. The crowd of 38,283, wearing jackets and winter hats for the chilly afternoon, roared when Sandberg joined fellow Cubs Hall of Famers Ernie Banks, Ferguson Jenkins and Billy Williams on the mound for a ceremonial first pitch. Banks, Jenkins and Williams drew more cheers when they sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh-inning stretch. "Its a special day for me to be here, just for the festivities and the memories of opening days here," said Sandberg, who spent 15 seasons in Chicago. "The fan base and the excitement opening day brought every year with the optimism that this is going to be the year. I thought that every single year." The Cubs are still waiting for that year. They last won the World Series in 1908, and many of their fans are more interested in the prospects in Chicagos touted farm system than the players on the major league roster. Hours before the home opener, one fan held up a sign near the Cubs dugout that read: "Theres Always Next Year." Chicago got off to a nice start when Castillo went deep in the second inning and Starlin Castro singled home a run in the third, but that was it for the Cubs offence. Utleys first homer of the season, a drive to right-centre in the fifth, gave the Phillies a 3-2 lead. He also singled in Ben Revere in the seventh. It was more than enough for Hernandez (1-0), who allowed two runs and three hits while throwing only 73 pitches in 5 1-3 innings. Sandberg said Hernandez hadnt pitched to hitters for nine days because of a weather-related backup, and he pulled the right-hander when his velocity dipped in the sixth. "We had some balls that just missed," rookie Cubs manager Rick Renteria said. "They ended up hitting some balls that carried a little bit more. But I think all in all, we did not go in there and have a very good plan of attack in general so it kind of cost us." NOTES: The game-time temperature was 38 degrees with a wind chill that made it feel like 28. ... Phillies LHP Cliff Lee (1-0, 14.40 ERA) faces Cubs RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-0, 0.00 ERA) on Saturday ... Renteria said the team is still deciding whether RHP Carlos Villanueva will start the series finale against the Phillies. Villanueva got the loss in Chicagos first two games of the season. Roberto Luongo Team Canada Jersey . -- Howie Kendrick had a two-run single in his first game batting leadoff this season, Chris Iannetta hit a pair of RBI singles and the Los Angeles Angels beat Cleveland 6-4 Tuesday night, sending the Indians to their fifth straight defeat. James van Riemsdyk Team USA Jersey . Its the fourth meeting of the season between these teams with each game being decided by a single goal.MADRID, Spain -- Spain striker Fernando Torres says he can make the World Cup squad and help his country defend its title in Brazil. Torres tells Spanish daily AS "in football you never know where you will be inside one month. Im going to work hard, thats all you can do with this last part of the season so important. Those in the best form before the Worldd Cup will go. Ben Bishop Team USA Jersey. " The Chelsea striker was dropped from Spains team for a recent friendly against Italy with Brazilian-born striker Diego Costa taking his place. Alvaro Negredo is also ahead of him in the pecking order. Torres, who turned 30 on Thursday, helped Spain win back-to-back European Championships and the last World Cup. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The event puts invited prospects through a serious of fitness tests and allows teams to interview targeted prospects to gain a further understanding into their psychological makeup. But some teams have run team specific combines in the past to further evaluate prospects, which has been seen by several teams as an unfair competitive advantage. As a result, the NHL is contemplating placing limits and restrictions on the amount of players that teams can assemble for further testing. "There was a discussion about that," said Commissioner Gary Bettman. "A change like that would require Board of Governor approval but I think that there was a sense in the room that it might be a good idea." Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray was the loudest proponent against these limitations. For the past three years, the Sabres have held their own combine; this past year bringing in over 75 players for a four day period for interviews and on ice work. "I come from a scouting background," said Murray, who has held scouting positions with the Florida Panthers, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers. "I dont want to criticize the combine we have but I want to be able to supplement that with what I want to do. Im looking for athletes and there are certain tests (that we feel are important) versus strength tests." But despite his instance, Murray had little success in persuading his colleagues. "Some of the veteran guys said you fought a great battle but it was a losing battle," said Murray, who is the shortest tenured GM in the NHL right now. "It looks like the majority want to streamline it to one combine and not allow us guys that feel that doing a little more is a benefit. MacT (Oilers GM Craig MacTavish) said to me, it was a great battle, but you couldnt win." The NHL intends to consider options now to enhance the league-run combine in May. Gary Bettman also suggested incorporating an on ice component to the combine in the future would be explored. Other News From Commissioner Gary Bettman - On the potential impact of a weaaker Canadian dollar (currently at . Rickey Henderson Padres Jersey. 90 cents US) on the 2014-15 salary cap. "Im not sure that its a concern, it is what it is. The system accounts for fluctuations in currency which is why we do everything with the computations in US dollars. If the Canadian dollar goes down, then the cap goes down a little bit but the system contemplates that. Its not an issue, its not a problem. It is what it is." - On the projected $71 million cap that was suggested to the Board of Governors in September. "A lot of people were talking about the number that we showed the board in September; that was an illustration because it wasnt based on anything, we didnt have any revenues yet. We said after we get to the end of the regular season, we may be able to better project what it looks like. With the Canadian dollar where it is, maybe youre looking at a million or two million difference in the cap and based on where the cap is likely to be, its not that big a deal." - On penalties for removing helmets priors to fights due to visors and whether an alteration would be made given that visors are now mandatory for all players entering the league. "Wasnt discussed and its not more a problem than youve either perceived it to be or not to be. It wasnt an issue." - On cracking down on fights involving goaltenders. "The rules are what they are and from a whole variety of constituencies including the players, there doesnt seem to be any change in the consensus right now. To effectuate a change thered have to be a change among the constituent groups. Ive been told that if you ask the players, it would be 99-1 that you leave it the way it is. Its something will continue to look at but there is nothing to report." - On potential expansion announcements before the end of the season. "If there would be? I doubt it. Its not anything were contemplating. We have no expansion process that were going through. Its not something that we envision happening anytime soon, if at all. I know theres a lot of speculation and yes, theres a lot of interest, were getting a lot of interest from multiple parties and multiple places but its not anything yet that were prepared to deal with on a formal basis." Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Argentine Federico Delbonis won his first ATP title by defeating Paolo Lorenzi of Italy 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Brazil Open final on Sunday. Ray Bourque Jersey . Delbonis broke Lorenzis serve to start the decisive set and held on to close the match in 2 hours, 6 minutes after converting on his second match point. He jumped and punched the air after sending a winner down the line past the outstretched arms of Lorenzi. Delbonis celebrated a nearly perfect week in which he also reached the semifinals in the doubles tournament. "To tell you the truth, I have no words," Delbonis said. "I played well match after match. It was a great result in the end." The 23-year-old lefty was playing only in his second ATP final. He had lost to Fabio Fognini of Italy last July after upsetting Roger Federer in the semifinals in Hamburg. With the victory at the ATP 250 tournament in Sao Paulo, Delbonis will move to 45th in the ATP rankings, a career best. The 32-year-old Lorenzi, ranked 114th, had never advanced past the quarterfinals of an ATP singles tournament. He reached the Sao Paulo final by beating top-seeded German Tommy Hass, who retired in the semifinals because of a right shoulder injury while losing in the second set. "Its a shame I wasnt able to win," Lorenzi said. "But hopefully Ill be back next year to try again." The Italian won the first set on Sunday after breaking Delbonis serve at 3-3, but the hard-hitting Argentine started serving well and was never broken again, finishing with 12 aces and no double faults. Delbonis beat home-crowd favourite Thomaz Bellucci in the semifinals. He had defeated second-seeded Nicolas Almagro in the second round, a three-time winner at the Brazil Open. It was the first time since 2007 that the Brazil Open wasnt won by a Spanish player. Argentine Guillermo Canas lifted the trophy that year, and after that the tournament was won by Spaniards Almagro, Tommy Robredo, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Rafael Nadal. Nadal decided not to defend the clay-court title this week. He chose to play in the first Rio Open, which he won last week. In the doubles final on Sunday, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain and Philipp Oswald of Austria beat Juan Sebastian Cabal and Roberto Farah of Colombia 5-7, 6-4, 15-13. The Colombians, No. 5 in the world and second-seeded in Sao Paulo, won the Rio Open last week. Delbonis reached the semifinals of the doubles tournament playing with countryman Facundo Bagnis, losing to the eventual champions. Bobby Orr Jersey . -- Despite being only two games above . Brad Marchand Jersey . - The Seattle Seahawks say their decision to limit ticket sales for the NFC championship game to certain states was due to concerns over ticket brokers.ST. LOUIS -- San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a strained right hamstring, one day ahead of his scheduled start against the St. Louis Cardinals. The move was made retroactive to May 22, and outfielder Juan Perez was recalled from Triple-A Fresno. "Were going to take the safe route," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "He wanted to pitch, but at the same time hes feeling a little something. "Its just not worth the risk." Yusmeiro Petit will start in Cains place for the second straight time Saturday. Bochy anticipates Cain will make his next start at hhome June 6 against the New York Mets. Tuukka Rask Bruins Jersey. Bochy said if it was mid-September and the Giants were in a tight race, Cain would have pitched. Cain is 1-3 with a 3.66 ERA in eight starts. Petit is 3-2 with a 5.08 ERA in 14 games, four of them starts. San Francisco catcher Buster Posey missed his second straight start with tightness in his lower back. "Hes doing better," Bochy said. "Give him another day." Hector Sanchez, in a 2-for-23 slump, started again in Poseys place. Perez was 1 for 20 in an earlier stint with the Giants. TORONTO - Netminders Zach Fucale and Eric Comrie have already locked down spots on the Canadian world junior team. Rafinha Barcelona Jersey .Whats far less certain is who will get the nod when Canada opens tournament play Dec. 26 against Slovakia. Head coach Benoit Groulx said Friday that the starting job is up for grabs.Theyre on the team, but theyve got to compete and theyve got to prove themselves, Groulx said. Theyve got to have the right attitude and so far were very pleased with Eric and Zach because theyre both competitors. You can tell they enjoy the game. They love to compete and they love to be out there.I think thats what we need and its a healthy competition among the two of them.Like team brass did last year, Canada finalized its goalies in advance. A third goalie could always be added during the tournament if needed. That takes a little pressure off the netminders in the buildup to the Dec. 26-Jan. 5 world junior hockey championship in Montreal and Toronto. The other 28 players in camp will battle it out for the remaining 20 roster spots.Fucale appears to be the favourite to land the first starting assignment. The Halifax Mooseheads goalie was on the team at last years tournament in Malmo, Sweden, where Canada settled for a fourth-place finish. Fucale was also drafted in the second round (36th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens and is from Rosemere, Que.So it would seem logical that hed play Canadas opening group stage game, given that it will be at the Bell Centre. However, Groulx said the job is open and the netminders performances in practice and exhibition games over the next two weeks will be key.We believe in both of them and weve been evaluating them for two years, he said. The evaluation process is still an ongoing process every day.The two goaltenders are quite similar. Both are 19 years old, both are six foot one, and both weigh about 180 pounds. They were both drafted in the second round last year, with Comrie taken 59th overall by the Winnipeg Jets. They have posted similar records this season and have been teammates at various tournaments in the past. Theyre also roommates and good friends. So while the battle is underway, there does not appear to be any tension. Theyre both saying the right things and seem very supportive of each other and the team.Im not looking at it as a competition, said Comrie, whos from Edmonton and plays for the Tri-City Americans. Im looking at it as were a team here. Were building towards one single goal. Were not fighting against each other to reach a gold medal. Were fighting with each other to reach a gold medal.Groulx said each goalie will get a start when Canada plays exhibition games against the CIS Toronto Selects this weekend before heading to St. Catharines, Ont., for pre-competition camp.Me and Eric, we have a lot in common, Fucale said. One of those things is were team players and we just want to help the team every time we get out there. Its good that were on the same page and we have the same goal in mind. I think thats very good for the team.Canada is hoping to end a five-year gold medal drought at the tournament. Fucale, one of seven returning players from last years team, said he has made strides over the last 12 months.I have become better mentally, stronger physically and technically everything has got better, he said. I feel very good, I feel great coming into this event. Its a great opportunity once again. Im just looking forward to the whole experience and living in the moment.Groulx put the players through a tough 90-minute workout Friday morning at MasterCard Centre. It was the first full team workout as seven players missed the opening session a night earlier due to travel delays.A timeline for player cuts has not been finalized. There could also be some late additions since NHL clubs have until the Dec. 19 roster freeze to decide whether they will loan players to the team. The goaltending picture is the one area thats clear, even if the starting assignments remain up in the air.Its always good to have internal competition, Fucale said. Coms is a competitor and so am I. For sure, we want to be ready for each game and like I said, we both have the same goal in mind — thats just to help the team win.So whoever is out there, well try our best to help the team and thats all that really matters.———Follow @GregoryStrongCP on Twitter. Jordi Masip Jersey .Y. - A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press reliever Carlos Marmol and the Miami Marlins have agreed to a $1. Neymar JR Jersey .J. CANASTOTA, N. Jerseys From China .Y. -- Capping a career that included 10 titles in six weight divisions, an Olympic gold medal and 10 world titles, the Golden Boy found a permanent home. Oscar De La Hoya was inducted Sunday into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. "Today marks an incredible personal achievement," said De La Hoya, who had an amateur record of 223-5 with 153 knockouts. "But it is only the latest milestone that never would have been possible without my family, my friends and, most of all, my fans." The Hall of Fames 25th class also included two of De La Hoyas contemporaries in the modern era -- Puerto Rican star Felix "Tito" Trinidad and Joe Calzaghe of Wales. Also inducted were: George Chaney, Charles Ledoux and Mike ODowd in the old-timer category; Tom Allen in the pioneer category; and promoter Barry Hearn, referees Richard Steele and Eugene Corri, journalist Graham Houston; and Sports Illustrated photographer Neil Leifer in the non-participant and observer categories. Inductees were selected by the Boxing Writers Association and a panel of international boxing historians. De La Hoya won the lightweight gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He turned pro later that year and captured his first world title, the WBO super-featherweight crown, in only his 12th bout. De La Hoya also won titles as a lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight. His 2007 bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. was one of the richest in boxing history, attracting nearly 2.5 million pay-per-view fans. He retired after a 2008 loss to Manny Pacquiao with a professional record of 39-6 with 30 knockouts and in 2002 established Golden Boy Promotions. De La Hoya touched on numerous topics during his speech, including the future of the sport. "We must put aside the egos that have damaged our brand and sullied our reputation," he said. "We, the promoters, must stop carrying petty grudges that serve no purpose but to divide our sport. And most important, we must give the fans the fights that they want." The fame hasnt come without some of the bad. De La Hoya admitted himself to a treatment facility in September as he continues to fight substance abuse. The move came on the eve of the biggest fight of the year for his promotion company between Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez. De La Hoya first admitted two years ago that he was an alcoholic and drug user and had been in treatment. Trained by his father, Trinidad began boxing at age 10 in his native Puerto Rico and became one of its most accomplished fighters, posting a 51-6 amateur record before turning pro. He stopped Maurice Blocker in two rounds to capture the IBF welterweight crown in his 20th pro bout and defended his title 15 times, one of those a controversial 12-round majority decision over De La Hoya. Trinidad moved up in weight to win the WBA light middleweight title from David Reid in March 2000 and later that year unified titles with a 12th-round knockout against IBF champ Fernando Vargas. In 2001, he became a three-division champion with a fifth-round knockout of William Joppy for the WBA middleweight title. The three-time world champ was a fan favourite because of his big-punching style and devastating left hook. "This is a great honour for me, my father, my family and my whole team," Trinidad, who retired in 2009 with a record of 42-3 with 35 knockouts, said in December when he learned of his selection. "This is the biggest triumph of my career." Calzaghe was the Rocky Marciano of his division -- nobody beat him in 46 professional bouts, which included a division-record 21 defences of his super middleweight title. China NFL Jerseys .The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity on Tuesday because the roster move has not been announced. Cheap China Jerseys .com) - In a game between teams at the bottom of their respective conferences that could be key determining draft lottery odds, the Edmonton Oilers prevailed over the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2, on Thursday.FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Tom Brady dove in vain at Cary Williams as the Eagles cornerback returned an interception for a touchdown on the opening series. Then the turnovers went in the Patriots direction. New England scored touchdowns on three of the four that Philadelphia committed, and the Patriots beat the Eagles 42-35 in Bradys preseason debut Friday night. "We always try to aggressively attack the ball," New England coach Bill Belichick said. "Those can be game-changing plays so when you get a chance to make them, you need to make them." All six quarterbacks did a good job with their opportunities, a sign that both teams have depth at that position. Every one of them who played -- Brady, rookie Jimmy Garoppolo and Ryan Mallett for the Patriots (1-1) and Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley for the Eagles (0-2) each threw at least one touchdown pass. The Eagles rarely had the ball early. And when they got it later, they kept giving it away. "I think the big thing in this game is we just cant turn over the ball and we cant shoot ourselves in the foot," Foles said. New England had two offensive series before the Eagles had even one since the Patriots first ended with Williams 77-yard interception return. Williams hurt his hamstring on the play and didnt return. Brady threw the ball to Steve Maneri, but the tight end who had signed five days earlier didnt turn around. "Its just miscommunication," Brady said. "Im glad it happens in the preseason." The Patriots tied it on their next possession on a 15-yard touchdown pass to Kenbrell Thompkins, ending Bradys night after completing 8 of 10 passes for 81 yards in two series. Then Philadelphias turnovers began. Ifeanyi Momah lost a fumble after catching Foles pass on their first offensive play. Sanchez threw an interception on his second play of the third quarter and Momah lost another fumble midway through the third quarter after a reception on Barkleys first play. And on the second play of Barkleys next series, his pass was picked off by Nate Ebner. Add Alex Henerys missed 47-yard field-goal attempt and a bunch of penalties and coach Chip Kelly has many mistakes to point out after a sloppy performance that followed three days of joint praactices with the Patriots. Authentic China Jerseys. Reviewing the penalties will keep both coaches busy. The Patriots committed 11 for 83 yards and the Eagles were flagged for 10 for 86 yards. At least the officials had warned the teams in meetings during the week that there would be an emphasis on penalizing contact on receivers. "Youre just handing people first downs," Kelly said. "We better figure it out. And, as I said earlier, whichever team ends up being the most disciplined team from penalties standpoint (is) going to be at a big advantage in this league. Its a challenge to everybody." The Patriots showed a balanced offence -- 250 yards rushing, 245 passing. "We had the momentum all game," said Mallett, competing with Garoppolo for the No. 2 job. Garoppolo picked right up after Brady left, throwing scoring passes on his first two series, a 15-yarder to James Develin and a 4-yarder to Brandon LaFell for a 21-7 lead. The pass to LaFell was New Englands 35th offensive play. Philadelphia had just six at the time. The Eagles tied it at 21 at halftime with two scoring passes in the last four minutes, a 6-yarder from Foles to Zach Ertz and a 6-yarder from Sanchez to Arrelious Benn. The score was tied 28-28 before touchdowns by two free agents, a 17-yard catch by Brian Tyms from Mallett and a 10-yard run by Roy Finch that gave the Patriots a 42-28 lead with 5:15 left in the third quarter. Barkleys 27-yard scoring pass to Henry Josey cut the lead to seven points on the last play of the third quarter. The Eagles drove to the Patriots 1-yard line, but were stopped on fourth down with 4:39 to go. "We still have some things to get better at," Eagles linebacker DeMeco Ryans said, "but thats what preseason is for." NOTES: Every quarterback put up solid numbers. Garoppolo was 6 of 12 for 72 yards and two touchdowns and Mallett completed 7 of 11 for 92 yards and a touchdown while playing the entire second half. For the Eagles, Foles was 8 for 10 for 81 yards and one touchdown, Sanchez was 11 for 12 for 117 yards and two touchdowns and Barkley was 9 for 12 for 132 yards and one touchdown. ... The Eagles top two receivers missed the game, Riley Cooper with a foot injury and Jeremy Maclin with a hamstring injury. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap JerseysWholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Associated Press on Tuesday.

BUFFALO, N. Steven Stamkos Team Canada Jersey .Y. -- The Buffalo Sabres have narrowed their general manager search to four candidates, including Bruins assistant GM Jim Benning and Senators assistant GM Tim Murray, a person familiar with the process told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Sabres have not revealed their list of candidates to succeed Darcy Regier, who was fired in November. The search is led by newly hired team president Pat LaFontaine. The finalists are still being interviewed, and no timetable has yet been set for when the position will be filled, the person said. The two other finalists were not revealed. Candidates linked to the job include Pittsburgh Penguins assistant GM Jason Botterill and Toronto Maple Leafs assistant GM Claude Loiselle. Benning, a former NHL defenceman, spent 12 seasons as a Sabres scout, including eight as the teams director of amateur scouting before being hired by the Bruins in 2006. In Buffalo, Benning had a hand in the Sabres drafting the core of the team that lost the Eastern Conference finals in 2006 and 07. It was a group that included goalie Ryan Miller, forwards Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville and defenceman Brian Campbell. Murray is in his seventh season as the Senators assistant general manager. He began his NHL scouting career with Detroit in 1993, and is the nephew of Senators general manager Bryan Murray. Murray has also spent time as a scout with Florida, Anaheim and the New York Rangers. LaFontaine has been patient in conducting his search since taking over after the Sabres fired both Regier and coach Ron Rolston. The purge happened after the Sabres got off to a franchise-worst start and stuck at the bottom of the NHL standings with a 4-15-1 record. LaFontaine was initially offered the GMs post by Sabres owner Terry Pegula, but instead turned it down because he felt he didnt have enough experience. LaFontaines first move was bringing back former Sabres coach Ted Nolan to serve as interim coach with the chance to retain the job once a new general manager is in place. Under Nolan, the Sabres (12-26-4) have gone 8-11-3 and have won five straight at home entering their home game against Carolina on Tuesday night. Though still last in the standings, the Sabres general managers job is considered attractive because the team has stockpiled high draft picks as part of a youth movement that began under Regier last season. The Sabres could have as many as two first-round and three second-round selections in this years draft. The Sabres also have a solid group of prospects in their farm system. They include defencemen Rasmus Ristolainen and Nikita Zadorov, who were both drafted in the first round in June. The next Sabres general managers most immediate priority will be determining whether to re-sign Miller, who is in the final year of his contract. Mike Komisarek Team USA Jersey .twitter.com/pktadV04iu — Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) August 20, 2014 Splash Brothers #NBAMovies pic. Jake Muzzin Team Canada Jersey . -- James Jones wouldnt be denied a Lambeau leap after a long touchdown catch.COSTA DO SAUIPE, Brazil -- FIFA has switched the starting times of seven World Cup matches, including the U.S.-Portugal game on June 22 in the Amazonian jungle city of Manaus. FIFPro, the international soccer players union, had pressed FIFA to avoid the earliest kickoffs in the hottest and most humid weather. After FIFA declined to change the two-year-old schedule, FIFPro suggested that the governing body "considers the demands of TV companies of greater importance than the health and safety of the players." The U.S.-Portugal game initially was set for 3 p.m. local time. Two other games in Manaus -- England vs. Italy on June 14 and Cameroon vs. Croatia on June 18 -- were moved ahead three hours to 6 p.m. The Englland-Italy switch means Ivory Coast vs. Erik Johnson Team USA Jersey. Japan will now start at 10 p.m. local time in the tropical coastal climate of Recife. On June 18, Cameroon-Croatia flips kickoff slots with Spain vs. Chile, which now starts at 4 p.m. in Rio de Janeiro. That means Spains appearance at the Maracana Stadium will now start in Spanish prime time instead of midnight back home. The U.S.-Portugal move forced two other changes. Belgium vs. Russia will start at 1 p.m. local time in Rio de Janeiro, instead of 7 p.m., which would have required European viewers to stay up well beyond midnight. South Korea vs. Algeria was moved to 4 p.m. local time in the coolest, most southern World Cup city of Porto Alegre from 1 p.m. Cheap JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

match at the Sony Open 7-6 (7),

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. Custom Pittsburgh Pirates Jersey . -- Serena Williams capitalized on a critical double-fault by Yaroslava Shvedova to survive a 69-minute first set and win her opening match at the Sony Open 7-6 (7), 6-2 on Thursday. "It was an incredibly tough first set," Williams said. "I just needed to relax and yet keep up the intensity." The top-ranked Williams seeks a record seventh Key Biscayne title, and her second in a row. No. 4-seeded Maria Sharapova, a five-time runner-up in the tournament, joined Williams in the third round by beating Kurumi Nara 6-3, 6-4. Seeded players had first-round byes. In mens play, former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt became the third active man to win 600 matches when he rallied past Robin Haase of the Netherlands 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Fellow Australian Bernard Tomic lasted only 28 minutes in the shortest match since the ATP started keeping such records in 1991, losing to Jarkko Nieminen 6-0, 6-1. Tomic, who won just 13 points, is mounting a comeback from surgery on both hips and was playing for the first time since January. "I did the best as I could," he said. "Hopefully in a little bit of time I can get back to 100 per cent." Williams, who owns a small share of the NFLs Miami Dolphins, wore a dress in the teams orange and turquoise colours -- which may explain her slow start. Or maybe it was because she hadnt played since Feb. 21. Williams had to erase a 5-3 deficit in the first set, and then fell behind 6-3 in the tiebreaker. Shvedova pushed a forehand into the net, then the Kazakh hit a nervous double-fault that allowed Williams to exhale. She won the next two points with aces, then closed out the set with a backhand winner, a fist pump and a scream of "Yes!" Her game steadied in the second set, when she had 18 winners and only 10 unforced errors -- bad news perhaps for opponents to come in the tournament Williams considers her hometown event. She lives an hour north in Palm Beach Gardens. "I love playing here," she told the crowd. The 33-year-old Hewitt also staged a comeback. With the victory, he joined Roger Federer (942 wins) and Rafael Nadal (675) in reaching the 600 match milestone. "Not many people get the opportunity to get close to that, so it means I have been around for an awfully long time," Hewitt said. "Im getting old. A few years ago when I had the last couple of surgeries, I probably would have doubted Id get to this stage. Im grateful Im out there and able to compete with the best guys." In other womens play, No. 5-seeded Angelique Kerber of Germany won her opening match, beating Peng Shuai of China 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (5). Kerber, a two-time Grand Slam semifinalist, matched her best showing at Key Biscayne by reaching the third round. Ana Ivanovic beat American Lauren Davis 6-1, 6-1, and No. 8 Petra Kvitova defeated Argentinas Paula Ormaechea 6-3, 6-4. Svetlana Kuznetsova, the 2006 champion, lost to Croatian qualifier Donna Vekic 7-6 (5), 7-5. Fridays stadium court schedule features the winners of 34 Grand Slam titles in five matches. The parade of champions will include Federer, Novak Djokovic, Venus Williams, Andy Murray and Li Na playing their opening matches. John Jaso Pirates Jersey . ALGIERS, Algeria -- Celebrations for Algerias victory over Burkina Faso that sent the countrys soccer team to the 2014 World Cup finals left 12 people dead and some 240 injured, authorities reported Wednesday. People poured into the streets of this soccer-mad country late Tuesday after the game and most of the deaths and injuries appear to be from road accidents as cars raced around honking their horns in celebration. The statement from emergency services said five celebrating fans were killed when their van slid off the road into a ravine in the mountain town of Bejaia, east of Algiers, while four others died in the southern city of Biskra when two trucks collided. A 10-year-old was killed in the town of Bouira, also east of the capital, just after midnight when the vehicle he was travelling in drove off the road. Eight other passengers, including four children between the ages of 3 and 8, were also injured, said the state news agency. Jon Niese Jersey. The remaining two deaths occurred in the towns of Tipaza and MSila, the statement added without further details. Much of the north of the country was blanketed with heavy rains Tuesday, making road conditions dangerous. Residents described a great deal of reckless behaviour in the course of the celebrations that continued throughout the night in some cities. It is the fourth trip to the World Cup for Algeria and follows closely on its 2010 appearance in South Africa. Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and other members of the government lunched with the victorious team on Wednesday. The absence of ailing President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was noted as another sign of his increasing infirmity following a stroke in April. institution next week, a

PRETORIA, South Africa -- Oscar Pistorius will start a period of psychiatric evaluation at a government institution next week, a judge ruled on Tuesday as she postponed the star athletes murder trial until June 30. NFL Jerseys From China . A panel of mental health experts is now to decide if the double-amputee runner can be held criminally responsible for killing his girlfriend. Judge Thokozile Masipa took just a few minutes to read out her ruling that the Olympian must present himself at 9 a.m. on Monday and every weekday after that at the Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital in Pretoria. Pistorius will be treated as an outpatient, Masipa ruled, and will be allowed to leave the facility in the South African capital each day at 4 p.m. or when "formally excused" by hospital authorities. The period of evaluation will be for no more than 30 days, the judge said, and will depend on how long the panel of four experts needs to observe Pistorius and compile a report for the court. The panel will consist of three psychiatrists and a clinical psychologist, Masipa said. Pistorius, 27, claims he shot Reeva Steenkamp, 29, by mistake through a toilet stall door in the pre-dawn hours of Feb. 14, 2013, thinking she was an intruder. The prosecution says he murdered her during an argument. A psychiatrist called by Pistorius defence lawyers recently testified she believes the runner had an anxiety disorder from childhood which may have contributed to him killing Steenkamp. That prompted the chief prosecutor to ask the court that he be sent for independent psychiatric tests. Kelly Phelps, a senior lecturer in the public law department at the University of Cape Town and a legal expert observing the trial, said the psychiatric evaluation could affect both the verdict and, if Pistorius is convicted, the sentencing. She saw three possible outcomes: -- An "extreme" conclusion in which the panel decides Pistorius was unable to distinguish between right and wrong, or act in accordance with that understanding, because of an anxiety disorder when he killed Steenkamp. Such an outcome, according to Phelps, would result in a verdict of "not guilty by reason of mental illness." -- The panel basically agrees with the defence witness, Dr. Merryll Vorster, who said Pistorius was able to distinguish between right and wrong but had the anxiety disorder, possibly bolstering Pistorius argument that he was acting in "putative self-defence" because he feared his life was in danger from a perceived intruder. -- The panel contradicts Vorster and says Pistorius does not have an anxiety disorder, possibly casting doubt on the defences argument that Pistorius had a long-held fear of crime and felt anxious and vulnerable when he shot Steenkamp. Judge Masipa said Tuesday that the panel should determine whether any mental illness may have affected Pistorius capacity to be "criminally responsible" for killing Steenkamp. She said the panel would evaluate "whether he was capable of appreciating the wrongfulness of his act or of acting in accordance with an appreciation of the wrongfulness of his act." The world-famous disabled athlete faces 25 years to life in prison if found guilty on the premeditated murder charge. He is free on bail. Masipas ruling came on day 33 of proceedings in the trial, which started March 3 and was initially predicted to last three weeks. Wholesale NFL China JerseysCheap NFL Jerseys China . "When I made the shot at the half, I told myself the zone was there," Anthony said. Soon, he had passed Kevin Durant. There is some irony in the fact that Jason Spezza was finally traded on Canada Day. After all, there had been weeks of speculation that the star centre wasnt enamoured with the idea of playing in a Canadian market.  But a few hours after the trade, Spezza wanted to make it clear that he wasnt leaving Ottawa because he couldnt stand the pressure and scrutiny that came with playing in the nations capital. “I dont think thats accurate," Spezza told TSN.ca. "My biggest motivator for a trade was to win. It will be portrayed however they want it to be portrayed, but the last thing I was worried about was coming out and doing interviews in front of my stall.” During the past month, it was widely reported that Spezza put the other Canadian teams on his no-trade list and that his desire was to go south of the border, where he would face less scrutiny. However, Spezza said the fact that most Canadian teams are struggling right now was the biggest reason why he put them on his no-trade list. He is never one to shy away from microphones and says he would welcome playing in a Canadian market again down the road if the opportunity arose. “It was more circumstance than anything of why those (Canadian) teams were on my list. I have one year left on my deal and I wanted to go someplace where I could win a Cup,” Spezza said. The troubling trend for Senators fans, however, is that Spezza is the latest superstar to have a somewhat messy departure from their city. In the summer of 2009, Dany Heatley demanded a trade and ultimately forced the clubs hand into trading him to San Jose. Last summer, Daniel Alfredsson and the organization had a sudden and bitter divorce, prompting the long-time captain to sign with Detroit as a free agent. Now that Spezza has been shipped to Dallas, it only adds to the growing perception that superstars have a short shelf life in Ottawa. But Spezza says the fans in Ottawa arent to blame for a number of players wanting to leave in a short window of time. “Its a fine market for stars, but just like any hockey market, its tough when youre not winning. All three situations are unique. I didnt make my decision because of Alfie and Alfie didnt make his decision because of Heater,” Spezza explained. “We all had our own reasons. There were some similarities, but in the end, each was a unique case.” In some ways, this does appear to be different than the Alfredsson saga from last summer, when the captain abruptly ended his tenure with the club. Spezza appeared to have a more calculated, long-term approach – far less emotional than the course Alfredsson seemed to take. But there is a striking similarity between Alfredssons comments last summer and the ones made by Spezza today. Cheap NFL Jerseys. In each case, the captain felt like he had a better chance to win a Stanley Cup with a different organization.  “All I can say is my goal is to win a Cup. I think Ottawa has a good chance. They have a good core of young players and a good nucleus. But for me right now, I just felt like Dallas was a great fit,” Spezza added. Spezza said he had discussions with Bryan Murray towards the end of the season and alerted the front office that he likely wasnt going to re-sign a contract extension beyond 2015.  And rather than make it awkward for everyone during the 2014-15 season – constantly answering questions about his future – he felt it was best for all parties involved to make a preemptive move this summer. “I didnt have any interest in signing an extension and that kind of hinted to them that maybe it was time to move on. I met with Bryan and had some really good and frank discussions. And I was being honest with them when I said it was best for me and best for them if I moved on,” Spezza explained. Spezza was asked if he knew the regular season finale in Pittsburgh on April 13 would be his last game in a Senators jersey. He scored a brilliant goal in the shootout to secure a Senators 3-2 victory and he admitted, “It wasnt lost on me that it could have been my last goal with Ottawa.” Spezza said he stayed quiet for the past few weeks out of respect for the process, but once Murray told reporters at the NHL GM meetings last month that Spezza had indeed requested a trade, he knew the writing was on the wall. “Once Bryan went public, I knew it was probably done for me there,” he said. (Spezza also went out of his way to point out that he still has a terrific relationship with Murray and holds the Senators general manager in the highest regard). Spezza isnt sure how the crowd at Canadian Tire Centre would react to his appearance when he makes his return to Ottawa on January 29, 2015 in a Dallas Stars jersey, but he does want Senators fans to know that he does not hold a grudge against them – even though he was often seen as a lightning rod for criticism by the fan base. “My time in Ottawa was fond and I know a lot of people are upset," Spezza said. "I would have loved to have the storybook career, where you spend your whole life in one city and play for one team, but thats part of the hard decision we had to make. This didnt just happen overnight and I woke up one morning and said ‘I want to leave. There was a lot of thought put into this.” Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys' ' '

he regular season by winning

MEMPHIS, Tenn. Cheap NFL Jerseys . - The Grizzlies are happy to be back in Memphis, where they finished the regular season by winning a franchise-record 14 straight games. They brought home-court advantage with them. To guard Mike Conley, that ratchets up the pressure even more. Its time for the Grizzlies to protect the place they call the Grindhouse. "Its going to be tough against a team thats played so well, especially on the road," Conley said Wednesday of the Thunder. "But were happy with our position, I can tell you that much." The Grizzlies evened this first-round Western Conference series by winning 111-105 in overtime at Oklahoma City on Monday. Being the visitor Thursday night in a hostile arena for Game 3 isnt a concern for the Thunder, who went 25-16 away from Oklahoma City for the NBAs second-best road record in the regular season. "Everybodys going to be there. Theyre going to have T-shirts. Theyre going to be swinging towels," Kevin Durant said. "Its the playoffs. Its going to be hostile, but weve been there before." Yes, the Thunder certainly have. But they have exactly one win in five previous post-season games in Memphis, and they needed three overtimes to pull that out in the 2011 conference semifinals. Memphis took both matchups in last years semifinals en route to winning the series in five. Memphis went 5-2 at home in the 2013 playoffs, when San Antonio, in the conference finals, was the only visitor to win. Tony Allen, who has made Durant work so much harder for his points in this series, said the Grizzlies cant become complacent knowing theyll have a loud crowd at the FedExForum. "We got to understand its one game at a time," Allen said. "Its the playoffs. Each game counts. Each possession counts. We cant get caught up in that." Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger also has cautioned his team not to simply assume being home will make everything work. That 14-game winning streak that helped them reach the playoffs as the seventh seed also is meaningless. Joerger said its time to start over now, and the team that sets the tone for its style quickest has won each of the first two games. Oklahoma City ran all over Memphis in winning the opener 100-86 in a game that was only that close because the Grizzlies had a big third quarter. The Grizzlies slowed the Thunder down from the opening tip Monday night in leading by as many as 10, even if they needed overtime after Durants amazing four-point play off his 3 falling out of bounds. "Our team is a team that cant play too far from behind because we play a certain style of basketball, and its tough," Grizzlies forward Mike Miller said. "Our starts are big for us. They do have some pressure. They have some expectations." The Thunder practiced Wednesday in Oklahoma City before travelling to Memphis. Coach Scott Brooks wants the Thunder to keep Conley and backup guard Beno Udrih in front of them. Udrih had 14 points in 14 minutes, giving Conley plenty of rest in his first extended action since being claimed off waivers in February. Brooks also wants to make sure Memphis big men work for what they get. Zach Randolph scored 25 points Monday, hitting 10 of his 20 shots. Offensively, Oklahoma City wants to screen better to keep Allen away from Durant as much as possible. "If we dont have good setups and good screens, its going to bog down and its going to be tough shots at the end of the shot clock," Brooks said. Of course, thats exactly what the Grizzlies want to slow down the Thunder. "We just keep slogging along and we feel always that if we get you in a possession game, we feel like that over the course of 48 minutes that we can grind you down," Joerger said. ___ AP Sports Writer Cliff Brunt contributed to this report from Oklahoma City, and AP freelance writer Clay Bailey contributed in Memphis. ___ Follow Teresa M. It is not a list of who we think the best 50 players in

This week the 2013/14 Premier League season comes to a close. Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic . Here at TSN.ca we will take a look back at the season by bringing together a panel of experts to help pick the best 50 players of the season. This list is based purely on their performances this season. It is not a list of who we think the best 50 players in the league are. Fourteen members were asked to take part (panel below) and submit their top 20 players of the season. Their list was then placed into a scoring system and then the totals determined the overall positions in the top 50. Each day this week we will release the list in 10s. The sport is very much about opinions, so please feel free to write your own list in the comments below. You can read part one of the list here. Here is how the Top 20 were scored – 1st place – 30pts; 2nd place – 25; 3rd place – 22; 4th place – 20; 5th place – 18; 6th place – 17; 7th place – 15; 8th place – 14; 9th place – 13; 10th place – 12; 11th place – 10; 12th place – 9; 13th place – 8; 14th place – 7; 15th place – 6; 16th place – 5; 17th place – 4; 18th place – 3; 19th place – 2; 20th place – 1. The Panel Six members of TSNs soccer team were on the panel and were joined by eight other members from around the world who were asked to represent their specific field. Joining our staff members were two outstanding statistical experts, Jonny Blain and Simon Gleave, two brilliant reporters/commentators covering the league, Stewart Coggin and Paul Sarahs and two extremely knowledgeable tactics writers, Tim Palmer and Ritesh from the False9 website and a man who covers the development side of the league like no other, Aidan from the England Youth website. In addition, also involved was arguably one of the knowledgeable writers covering the league in the world, Michael Cox, aka Zonal Marking. Kevin Mirallas (Everton) – Part of the reason for Evertons success this season has been their consistency, with many of their players, weekly, reaching a standard they require. Mirallas is not one of them. Some weeks he looks like someone who could one day be sold for a lot of money, going above that standard with electrifying runs, great positional awareness and some clinical finishing. Then, other weeks, Mirallas looks tired, unfit and easy to mark out of a game. There is room for his up and down unpredictability in a usually reliable Everton team but one wonders what road he will go down more in the future. 39. James McCarthy (Everton) – There were a couple of people on the panel who loved McCarthy and pushed hard for his place on this list (this writer included). It is hard to believe he played some Championship games for Wigan this season. Although his move to a bigger club was long overdue, being reunited with Roberto Martinez ensured Everton, once again, ticked a key box for the club by selling a bigger player for more money (Marouane Fellaini) and replacing him with a better one for less. 38. Asmir Begovic (Stoke) – Under new manager Mark Hughes, Stoke City slowly went about a modified change in style this season which meant they allowed more shots and goals conceded but none of this fell on the shoulders of Begovic. He remains one of the leagues best goalkeepers and had another standout campaign, which also included a goal! Not sure how much longer teams like Arsenal, for example, will allow a much superior goalkeeper to play for a team like Stoke. 37. David Marshall (Cardiff) – The relegated team went through a lot of turmoil this season but had no such worry in goal. "I wouldnt swap him for anyone, thats for sure," said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Scot has backed him up, making more saves than any goalkeeper in the league. His save on Aston Villas Andreas Weimann in February was one of the best youll ever see. 36. Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) – Another goalkeeper from a team who had a season full of turmoil, Lloris gets his spot after an outstanding season. The modern day goalkeeper is required to be an excellent distributor and the Frenchmans reflexes off the line often see him playing as a sweeper. Too bad for Lloris that the defence in front of him got worse as the season went on.  35. Dejan Lovren (Southampton) – Many of Lovrens team-mates have received plenty of plaudits for a record-breaking season for the Saints but you could make the case that the most valuable of all of Southamptons players was the Croatian international. It is hard to believe he is only 24 years old. When he first joined Lyon he struggled for a while in the French league but grew in stature and showed tremendous poise on the ball. He brought those qualities and more to the Premier League this season and the Saints may have a hard time keeping him away from some of the bigger clubs. 34. Sylvain Distin (Everton) – What a player. At 36, Distin has arguably been one of the most underrated players in world football for half a decade. This season he went past the 400 Premier League appearances mark and has now played more games in the league than any non-British outfield player. All for a player who never received one cap for his country. Selling Joleon Lescott and buying the Frenchman for a quarter of the price, back in 2009, remains one of the smartest pieces of business the league has ever seen. 33. Rickie Lambert (Southampton) – The Englishmans 12 goals this season give him a total of 27 over the last two seasons and that is quite a haul for a man who spent most of career in the lower leagues of English football. However, Lambert is not on this list purely for his goals. This season, under Mauricio Pocchetino, he evolved as a player, comfortably playing wide, dropping deep, and making up the triangles needed in Southamptons breathtaking attack. His total of ten assists shows his improvement in this regard. 32. Wilfried Bony (Swansea) – Last season Michu led Swansea with 18 goals and 110 shots and no other player at the club had half that amount in either category. No one saw Michus rise to fame coming and the smartest thing Swansea did was not betting on it to continue. They needed a proven goalscorer at that level and, as many clubs have shown, those are not easy to find. The Dutch Eredivisie doesnt always get much respect but last seasons top scorer was poached and the Ivorian has more than delivered, scoring 15 goals on 106 shots. The most impressive thing about Bony is the range of different goals he scores. He looks like a player who has a big future at this level and could one day reach that special 100 in the Premier League. 31. Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea) – When the season entered its fourth month, the Spaniard was unhappy. He had played less than 30 minutes combined in just three substitute appearances, and was back on the bench again at Newcastle in early November. Chelsea would lose 2-0 that day and for the next game the right back replaced Ashley Cole at left back. For the next five months he has played at such a high level that the high-profile Englishman hasnt deserved his spot back. Azpilicueta is versatile, a tremendous reader of the game, excellent defending in one-on-one situations and is, crucially, comfortable defending narrow, closer to his centre-back, which has helped Jose Mourinhos side become very difficult to break down. Its been a season that deserves his spot on this list and in Spains World Cup squad, which is no mean feat after all. Cheap NFL Jerseys China Stitched . -- Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden is optimistic Robert Griffin III will return this season. Cheap NFL Jerseys China . BOUCHERVILLE, Que. Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic . - Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers of the Rimouski Oceanic has broken a shutout record that was only three months old in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Desrosiers 31-save performance in a 5-0 victory over the Victoriaville Tigres Monday extended his run without allowing a goal to 213 minutes 15 seconds. That topped the previous mark of 212:10 set in November by Francois Brassard of the Quebec Remparts. Brassard had bettered the run of 207:04 posted in 1997-98 by Mathieu Chouinard of the Shawinigan Cataractes. The 18-year-old Desrosiers, picked 54th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2013 NHL draft, can extend his string if he plays Wednesday against the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Cheap Jerseys From China . The Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies return to Chesapeake Energy Arena Tuesday night for a crucial Game 5 of their Western Conference quarterfinal matchup. http://www.airmaxbotylevne.cz/nike-air-max-2016-vyprodej-damske-boty-crimson-cerny.html . The Thunder knotted the series with a 92-89 overtime victory in Memphis Saturday night. It was the third overtime contest during the four games of this series. "Now its tied up 2-2," OKC head coach Scott Brooks said. "That means that we have to play with the same type of intensity on both ends of the floor in front of our home crowd, which are the best fans in the league." The Grizzlies won Game 2 in Oklahoma City. On Saturday, the Thunders hero wasnt Kevin Durant, or Russell Westbrook. It wasnt even Serge Ibaka, rather top bench producer Reggie Jackson. Jackson scored a playoff career-best 32 points, including eight in overtime, to lead the Thunder. "We were struggling there in the fourth, and he just took it over," Durant said. "He was aggressive going to the rim all night. He just told himself before the game to be assertive. Defensively he was good. Offensively he attacked the defense and opened it up for everybody. We rolled all night. He made huge, huge plays and Im so proud of him." Durant had 15 points and 13 boards and Westbrook totaled 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but the duo combined to shoot 11-of-45. Ibaka provided 12 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks for the second-seeded Thunder, who shot 36.7 percent. Marc Gasol had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies, who had a chance to tie the game at the end but Mike Conley missed a 3-point shot. The seventh-seeded Grizzlies had a 15-game home winning streak broken. Conley had 14 points and 10 assists, and Tony Allen ended with 14 points and 13 rebounds in defeat. Zach Randolph was limited to 11 points for the Grizzlies, who made 37.2 percent from the floor. Memphis widened the gap to 80-75 following a Gasol jumper beyond the foul line with 1:20 left, but the Thunder scrapped to get the game to OT. Jackson drained a 3-ball with 59.2 seconds left, and Durant came up with a steal, which led to Jacksons floater in the lane to tie the game with 30.6 on the clock. It was a wild finish to regulation. Gasol missed a foul-line jumper, and Allen got the offensive rebound, but Ibaka came up with the block under the hoop. Jackson then got the loose ball and had plenty of time to dribble down the court, but shot early well beyond half-court and the ball went out of bounds as time expired. OKC used hustle plays to even this series with Jackson at the center of the effort. He dove for a loose ball on the floor with 1:08 left in OT. Durant then was fouled on a drive to the bucket and made two for an 88-87 edge for the Thunder with 62 seconds left. Conley missed high off the glass, but he came back with a big steal. Westbrook missed a jumper, got his own rebound and tried to dribble the ball back out, but Conley stole the ball and called timeout with 30.9 on the clock. Conleys jumper was then too strong and Jackson made two from the charity stripe with 12.2 seconds left. Conley then drove in for an uncontested layup with 3.8 seconds to go, but Jackson made two more foul shots less than a second later. "I thought the little plays made the difference," said Memphis coach Dave Joerger. "I thought we had great chances to pull out the win. They made enough plays." Game 6 is slated for Thursday night in Memphis. http://www.airmaxbotylevne.cz/nike-panske-bezecke-boty-air-max-2016-modre-cerny.html . Brennan thinks the Marlies are their own worst enemies.COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With what lies ahead, it was particularly refreshing for the Columbus Blue Jackets to have a rare game that didnt come down to the final seconds. Boone Jenner and Mark Letestu each had a goal and an assist, and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 31 shots for his second shutout in 72 hours to lead the Columbus Blue Jackets past the New York Islanders 4-0 on Sunday night. "We seem not to do anything the easy way," Letestu said with a laugh. "To get four (games) in five (days) to finish off the season, its very Blue Jacket of us -- doing things the hard way and probably earning our way into the playoffs." Columbus ends its home schedule on Tuesday night against Phoenix and then closes the regular season with games at Dallas on Wednesday, then at Tampa Bay and Florida on Friday and Saturday. The win not only boosted the Blue Jackets in the standings, it also helped them wipe away the bitter taste of Friday nights 4-3 home loss to Stanley Cup champion Chicago. Ben Smith jammed in a goal during a scrum with 3.9 seconds left in the Blackhawks win. "That was one of those (where) its a punch in the gut," coach Todd Richards said. "So, yeah, it was nice to get that one to put (Fridays loss) in the distance." The Blue Jackets, desperate to hang on to a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, matched a season high with three power-play goals. It wasnt lost on Jenner that his first goal was similar to Smiths on Friday. The goalie made the initial stop, but then couldnt get to a loose puck while several players crashed the net, sticks flying, all trying to get to it. "Especially with that first power play, we wanted to get on them early," Jenner said. "It was a big goal." Camped at the doorstep, he tipped a shot by Letestu that Islanders goalie Anders Nilsson got a piece of, but the puck slipped between his pads and rested behind him, just short of the goal line. It sat there for 3 seconds before Jenner worked his way around the goalie and jammed it in for his 14th at 4:26. On their next power play, the Blue Jackets swiveled the puck from the left boards to right, with Johnson tucking a one-timer inside the far post. http://www.airmaxbotylevne.cz/air-max-2016-cerny-bile-nefrit-ruzove-damske-boty.html. It was his first goal in 21 games and fifth this season. Ryan Murray also ended a long scoring drought, and Brandon Dubinsky had two assists. Bobrovsky, who won at Philadelphia 2-0 on Thursday, earned his fifth shutout of the season. He improved to 10-2 against the Islanders while allowing just under two goals a game. Columbus won at home after going 1-4-2 in its last seven games at Nationwide Arena. "Weve let some slip away, so we were pretty focused on not letting that happen," said Letestu, whose even-strength goal midway through the second period ended a string of 22 games in which he had not scored. "That was an important two points." Columbus has 87 points, two fewer than Philadelphia -- the third-place team in the Metropolitan Division race -- which beat Buffalo on Sunday night. The Blue Jackets currently hold the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. They created some breathing room Sunday as New Jersey and Toronto are now three points behind them, and Washington is another point behind those teams. Nilsson made 29 saves for the Islanders, who had their seven-game point streak (5-0-2) ended. Despite being without top players John Tavares and Kyle Okposo, they had played well with a lineup stocked with 10 rookies. "To be honest with you, this is the first game in a while I feel we werent there collectively as a group," Islanders defenceman Travis Hamonic said. "Weve been playing some really good hockey, especially the young players." New York coach Jack Capuano conceded this was a step back in the learning process. "Weve got some games left with these kids and were going to go out and teach and play structured and work hard," he said. NOTES: The Blue Jackets had failed to convert on 36 consecutive power plays, but they have turned things around by going 9 for 24 in the seven games since that drought. ... Jenners 14 goals are the second most by a Blue Jackets rookie (Rick Nash, 17 in 2002-03). ... D Scott Mayfield made his NHL debut for the Islanders. ... Nilsson faced the Blue Jackets for the first time. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China JerseysWholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

d 129 rushing yards in the first half?

Mike OShea hates losing. Jason Williams Magic Jersey . The first-year head coach has made that much crystal clear in his pair of post-game media sessions. His Blue Bombers are winless and their preseason schedule is complete. Now two days into a 12-day stretch before the regular season begins, Winnipegs freshly-minted field general is communicating optimism and relaying the positives in his football club. "I think the offence did a great job," OShea told reporters on Monday afternoon, his first availability in Winnipeg following the Bombers 23-20 loss in Calgary on Saturday. "When you look at the numbers to go along with that film — no two-and-outs, 26 first downs — that should be good enough to win." But its tough to beat a team like the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon when you spot them a 14-point lead after a quarter of play. So is OShea at all concerned with his starting defence allowing touchdown drives of 52 and 59 yards in Calgarys first three possessions, and 129 rushing yards in the first half? "No. No, I am not concerned at all. I know what weve put in and I know that well keep working. The effort is there. The buy-in is there. Im excited, actually. I got pulled out of the defensive meeting to come (speak to media). I just missed some great stuff." This seems somewhat contradictory when you look at the ease in which the Stampeders offence trotted down the field in the opening twenty minutes when it was starters versus starters. OShea has stated that coordinator Gary Etcheverrys defence has been purposefully "vanilla" in their preseason looks, keeping their cards close to the vest. And consider the likes of Johnny Sears and Donovan Alexander — two probable Week 1 starters — were also out of Saturdays lineup as they continue to recover from groin and calf injuries, respectively. The offence, meanwhile, indeed looked calculated and collected with Drew Willy at the helm. The first-year starter finished his day 14-of-23 for 172 yards, and could have been upwards of 70 per cent passing if it werent for a few easily caught balls that slipped through the hands of his receivers. "We started slow again, I think as an entire team. We have to find a way to rectify that," said OShea when questioned about his offence. "I thought the offence performed very well. I thought they played with a lot of heart. They played a real physical style. We ran the ball. We threw the ball. We moved the ball down the field. We moved the ball out from our own end. Maybe we didnt capitalize on enough of those opportunities down deep. Theres some very positive things." "We are still evaluating the No. 2 (quarterback) position, for sure," added OShea. "But yes, it was important to put Drew (Willy) back out there, and to give credit where its due, (offensive coordinator) Marcel (Bellefeuille) came to me (at halftime) and said, lets put him back out. And we did." Keeping Willy in for the opening possession of the third quarter proved shrewd, as he engineered his third scoring drive on 10 plays that covered 76 yards before stalling on first-and-goal. Coming out after the break and continuing to build in-game experience with his receivers, backs, and linemen should prove worthwhile as the new No. 1 establishes chemistry with the pieces around him. Quarterbacks Brian Brohm, Max Hall, and Robert Marve all saw time running Winnipegs offence in preseason games, and it looks from afar that a decision will have to be made between Brohm and Hall as to who will backup Willy. Young Marves cannon-arm, deep ball accuracy, and ability to turn up field and dash for first downs will likely see him stick around as he familiarizes himself with the Canadian game. Its been a while since there has been a young project pivot in Winnipeg. The potential is there. Injury Report: Several projected starters missed the game in Calgary, including slotbacks Nick Moore (back) and Cory Watson (hamstring), cornerback Donovan Alexander (calf), and defensive back/linebacker Johnny Sears (groin). OShea says Watson will finally return to practice this week after sitting out since Day 2 of camp... Another National slotback, Julian Feoli-Gudino, suffered a "lower-body" injury late last week and looks to return soon, as the club may have to start him next to Watson and Rory Kohlert in a three-National receiver set since the loss of defensive tackle Ryan Lucas for the season with an ACL tear... The old adage You cant make the club from the tub is beginning to find reference alongside every mention of 2013 All-Star running back Will Fords name as of late. The position battle between rookies Nic Grigsby and Paris Cotton is reaching critical mass, and Fords layup since Day 3 of camp with a hamstring pull just may cost him his job... Speaking of Cotton, who was again impressive with the ball in his second preseason game (5 carries for 58 yards, 2 receptions for 24 yards), suffered an undisclosed leg injury late on Saturday. The explosive and slippery tailback is receiving assessment from the doctor on Monday and an update will be provided this week... According to the media release sent out by the team Monday morning, National linebacker Graig Newman, whom Kyle Walters targeted aggressively in free agency this winter, will "miss the 2014 season" with a dislocated and fractured ankle. Mike OShea isnt so sure stating, "Im not saying hes done for the season... Im optimistic and so is (Newman). Well see him soon... Ask me again in a couple months. Three months, possibly. Hes got a good spirit." Newman underwent surgery on Monday. Christian Laettner Team USA Jersey . Parker left Wednesdays series-clinching win over Portland early in the second quarter with tightness in his hamstring and did not return. He was 0-for-2 from the floor prior to exiting the eventual victory, which sent the Spurs into the Western Conference finals for the third straight year. Tracy Mcgrady Raptors Jersey . The Vancouver captain and his teammates were left stunned after Jose Mari scored a pair of goals three minutes apart in the second half as the Colorado Rapids came back to beat the Whitecaps 2-1 before a sellout crowd of 21,000 at B.CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers rookie guard Kyrie Irving is not playing against Chicago because of the flu. Irving is active for Fridays game against the Bulls, but the team said he would not play about 45 minutes before tip-off. Cavs coach Byron Scott said Irving picked up "a bug" during All-Star weekend in Orlando. The 19-year-old did shoot around on the floor of Quickeen Loans Arena before the game. Patrick Patterson Raptors Jersey. He later met with team doctors, who decided it would be best if he didnt play. Irvings illness prevented a matchup with MVP Derrick Rose, who sat out with a toe injury the last time Chicago played in Cleveland. Irving is averaging 18.5 points and 5.1 assists. He was named the NBAs rookie of the month for February. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China JerseysWholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ant and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys head into Sundays game against the Colts leading the NFC East

Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys head into Sundays game against the Colts leading the NFC East and on the verge of a playoff berth. Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 España . A ton of the credit for that should go to head coach Jason Garretts assistants.Garretts the one thought to be on the hot seat entering the season. Hes the one who has owner Jerry Jones whisper in his ear on the sideline. And hes the one whos likely to receive plenty of praise from fans if the Cowboys do return to the post-season for the first time since 2009.Truth is, Garrett has become little more than a caretaker for Dallas (10-4). Its the folks working under him who are steering a team that was supposed to be an also-ran to respectability — and their contributions are about as underappreciated as it gets in todays NFL.I feel really good about where our co-ordinators are in running their different units and how our position coaches are coaching, Garrett said. Its my job to oversee it and create an environment for them where they can be successful.Last off-seasons shuffle is working.Coming off three consecutive 8-8 finishes, Dallas demoted defensive co-ordinator Monte Kiffin and removed Bill Callahan as play caller. Now Scott Linehan calls plays (something Garrett used to do), helping turn running back DeMarco Murray into a star. Callahan, meanwhile, has thrived while focusing on what is probably the leagues top offensive line.New defensive co-ordinator Rod Marinelli has overseen significant improvement, while linebackers coach Matt Eberflus has produced a pretty good group despite the loss of Sean Lee and others to injury. In general, assistant coaches do not get a lot of publicity or kudos — this season, for the first time, the AP NFL awards will include one for top assistant — but Dallas group deserves both.Heres a look at some other underappreciated — and overblown — aspects of the NFL:UNDERAPPRECIATED:BUFFALOS Defence: Presumably, Mario Williams & Co. will finally start to get the wide acclaim they deserve after holding Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers to a combined zero touchdown passes and four interceptions over the past two weeks.BOBBY WAGNER: With the linebacker back from a right foot injury, the Seahawks are 4-0 and allowing 6.75 points per game. Asked about his five-game absence hurting his cause for awards or recognition, Wagner replied: Thats fine. Who has been the best backer on the field when hes been on the field?ARIZONAS HOME EDGE: That New England, Denver and Green Bay are unbeaten at home should surprise no one. That Arizona takes a 7-0 home mark into its showdown with Seattle on Sunday night? Now thats remarkable.DENVERS DEFENSIVE DUO: A lot of attention was paid when the Broncos added Aqib Talib, DeMarcus Ware and T.J. Ward. Less-known Chris Harris Jr. and Brandon Marshall (aka the other Brandon Marshall) have been a big part of Denvers success, even if fans arent racing to vote them into the Pro Bowl.REDSKINS CAPACITY FOR DYSFUNCTION: Seemingly boundless.OVERBLOWN:PATRIOTS DEMISE: That 41-14 loss at Kansas City in Week 4, the one that had folks wondering when Tom Brady would retire and whether Bill Belichicks magic was gone, sure seems long ago now, doesnt it?JOHNNY FOOTBALL: OK, its only one game, but Johnny Manziels NFL debut as a starting quarterback for the Browns was a doozy: 80 yards passing, two interceptions, three sacks, and zero points. Certainly not the stuff that justifies his hype. But he deserves time, of course.NEW COACHES: When Lovie Smith was introduced as Tampa Bays head coach, he averred, Its time for us to become a relevant team again. So much for the idea that a new coach can help things improve right away. The Bucs are 2-12; even worse, Ken Whisenhunts Titans are 2-13. Jay Grudens Redskins are 3-11 (see above). On the other hand, Jim Caldwell (Detroit) and Bill OBrien (Houston) have done a fine job in Year 1.CAM NEWTON, COLIN KAEPERNICK, ROBERT GRIFFIN III: The toast of the NFL not too long ago, none of that trio of QBs looks ready for prime time lately.SAINTS HOME EDGE: New Orleans was unbeaten at home for more than a season before the current 0-4 rut in its dome heading into Sunday against Atlanta.___AP Sports Writers Schuyler Dixon in Irving, Texas, and Tim Booth in Renton, Washington, contributed to this report.___Follow Howard Fendrich on Twitter at http://twitter.com/HowardFendrich___Online:AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/AP_NFL Adidas Nmd Comprar . Tuukka Rask got the 22nd shutout of his career -- probably one of the easiest -- Gregory Campbell and Loui Eriksson scored second-period goals and the Bruins shut down the Capitals 3-0 on Thursday night. Air Max Baratas España . On the day Louis van Gaal announced his final 23-man squad for Brazil, the Netherlands coach looked to have picked his strongest side for the match at Feyenoords De Kuip stadium, with the vastly experienced striking partnership of Van Persie and Arjen Robben fed by playmaker Wesley Sneijder.PITTSBURGH -- Sidney Crosby, Chris Kunitz and Lee Stempniak have been playing together for less than two weeks. Funny, they looked like longtime friends during Pittsburghs 5-1 demolition of Dallas on Tuesday night. Quick to the puck and even quicker to the net, the Penguins top line overwhelmed the suddenly struggling Stars as Pittsburgh bounced back from a dismal weekend sweep at the hands of Philadelphia by jumping on Dallas early. Crosby scored his 32nd goal less than 5 minutes in, added his 33rd early in the third period and dished out an assist on Stempniaks first goal with the Penguins to push his point total to an NHL-leading 91. More importantly, Pittsburgh hardly looked like the team humbled by the Flyers during a forgettable home-and-home sweep. "We werent happy with those losses, we have to do better," Crosby said. "We wanted to make sure we went out there and played hard. Its a desperate team were playing and hopefully we can build that same emotion, same intensity we had tonight and carry it over to the rest of the season." Kunitz chipped in his 32nd goal after skipping two games with a leg injury and added an assist. Brandon Sutter pushed in a late short-handed goal and Jeff Zatkoff stopped 32 shots to win for the 11th time in his past 14 games. Tyler Seguin scored his 31st goal for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves, but Dallas slumped again on the road. The Stars have been outscored 12-3 over their past two games to slip out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. "I think you cant blame one guy for any of the goals," Seguin said. "This is a team matter were going to deal with. Its just about execution. Weve been showing glimpses of it lately, but too many breakdowns." A no-no when playing Crosby. The Pittsburgh captain seemed energized by the return of Kunitz. Reunited against a scuffling team trying to make a late run at the post-season, Crosby and Kunitz helped the Metropolitan Division-leading Penguins rebound by playing with the chemistry that makes them one of the most potent one-two combinations in the league. The game was less than 5 minutes old when Crosby put Pittsburgh in front. Fourth-line forward Craig Adams -- finishing out his shift -- dug out a loose puck in the corner and fed it to Crosby darting through the slot. Hombre KPU Nike Air Max 2016 Roayl Azules/Blancas Zapatos. Crosby deked past Dallas defenceman Sergei Gonchar then held the puck long enough for Lehtonen to commit before slipping the puck into an open net to give the Penguins some welcome momentum. Seguin tied it at 12:30 into the first with a pretty deflection off a Trevor Daley shot from the point, but the game was tied less than three minutes before Kunitz pounced on a rebound off a Stempniak shot to put the Penguins in front to stay. The Penguins acquired Stempniak from Calgary on March 5 hoping the veteran forward could patch the hole on the first line that hasnt really been filled since Pascal Dupuis was lost for the season with a knee injury in December. After a series of near misses in his first six games with Pittsburgh, Stempniak finally broke through 13:21 into the second period. He skated into the zone and dropped the puck to Crosby and sprinted to the net. The puck was on Stempniaks stick again a split second later as Kunitz hit him streaking through the slot. Stempniak knocked it in for his ninth of the season while getting tripped by Dallas Brenden Dillon in the process. "Its been a little while, its nice to get a goal," Stempniak said. "Great passing play from Sid to Chris. I went to the net and it was on my tape ... Sids so dynamic, he opens up a lot. Chris has a great shot. I just try to fit in and skate and keep up." That was more than enough for Zatkoff, who made two glove saves in the second period during Dallas best sustained pressure. Crosby banged in a rebound 1:56 into the third to push Pittsburghs lead to three and the pressure that had built after dispiriting performances against the Flyers -- games in which the Penguins said they were more concerned with the way they played than the actual score -- lifted. NOTES: Pittsburgh is 42-5-4 this season when Crosby collects at least one point. ... Dallas has lost three straight for the first time since a six-game skid from Jan. 2-12. ... The Penguins play at Detroit on Thursday. ... Dallas visits Philadelphia on Thursday. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

will be making his first st

Roberto Luongo will looking to erase some painful memories as he leads the Vancouver Canucks against the Bruins tonight. Javier Mascherano Barcelona Jersey . Luongo will be making his first start at the TD Garden since Game 6 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final when he surrendered three first period goals in a potential Cup-clinching game for the Canucks. The Canucks will try to avoid matching their longest winless streak of the season on Tuesday night as they visit the Atlantic Division-leading Bruins. The Canucks have lost four straight in regulation, one setback shy of their longest stretch without a win this season done twice before. Vancouver was able to earn some points over those earlier droughts, going 0-3-2 from Nov. 9-19 and 0-2-3 from Dec. 30-Jan. 7. Vancouver is holding on to the eighth spot in the Western Conference by just a single point over the Phoenix Coyotes and were unable to get a spark from the return of both coach John Tortorella and captain Henrik Sedin on Monday. Tortorella returned to the bench after serving a 15-day suspension for his actions in a game versus the Calgary Flames on Jan. 18, missing six games. Sedin was absent for each one due to a rib injury that halted his consecutive games played streak at 679 and was held off the scoresheet in last nights 2-0 setback to the Detroit Red Wings. Eddie Lack made 28 saves in the second contest of a five-game road trip, but Detroit got eight saves from Jonas Gustavsson in the first period before he exited due to dizziness. Jimmy Howard stopped all 16 Vancouver shots he faced the rest of the way. "We cant buy a win right now," Lack said. "Im trying to do my job and keep us in every game. Its tough." After Detroit scored the games first goal early in the second period, David Booth was hooked on a breakaway and awarded a penalty shot. However, Howard turned his chance aside to leave the Canucks and Tortorella frustrated. "We need to change the complexion of our hockey club, either with our play or with different people, because we looked like a slow hockey team tonight," noted Tortorella. "Were going to keep on banging away to try and get better, but its very frustrating to see the same looks. It worries me. Ill leave it at that." One change that could happen tonight is the insertion of defenseman Raphael Diaz into the lineup. He was acquired in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday for forward Dale Weise. Diaz could make his debut with the Canucks tonight after notching 11 assists and a minus-4 rating in 43 games with the Habs this season. Hell help fill a void on the back end left by injuries to Kevin Bieksa (foot) and Christopher Tanev (thumb). The Bruins will host the Canucks to close a four-game homestand and are 6-1-1 in their last eight games. That stretch includes a disappointing and lackluster 4-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday, but Boston rebounded to secure a 4-0 triumph over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. Chad Johnson made 22 saves in his first shutout of the season and second of his career, while Boston scored three times in the third period to break open a close game. Dougie Hamilton started the burst 6:43 into the frame before Carl Soderberg and Torey Krug followed with goals. David Krejci also lit the lamp and Zdeno Chara added a pair of assists for the Bruins, who posted 19 of their 41 shots in the third period. "Well, I think so -- a much better game tonight in all aspects of it," said Bruins head coach Claude Julien comparing the game to Thursdays loss to Montreal. "Thought that goal by Dougie kind of made everybody relax a little bit more and our game seemed to get better after that too." Boston leads the Tampa Bay Lightning by four points for the top spot in the division and will have Chara in the lineup tonight for the last time before the Olympic break. The hulking defenseman will not play on Thursday in St. Louis or Saturday versus Ottawa as he had earlier been selected to carry Slovakias flag during the Opening Ceremonies on Friday for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The Bruins have lost three of their last four versus the Canucks, including a 6-2 setback on Dec. 14 that marked the first time the two clubs met in Vancouver since Boston won Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals. Tuukka Rask got the start for the Bruins, but was pulled early in the second period after allowing four goals on 23 shots. He fell to 0-1-1 with a 3.38 goals against average in his career versus the Canucks. Sedin had a goal and an assist in the victory, while Roberto Luongo posted 39 saves to improve to 12-10-3 in his career versus Boston with a 2.38 GAA and four shutouts. Sandro Ramirez Barcelona Jersey .com) - Joe Pavelski scored twice to lead the San Jose Sharks in a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers to split a home-and-home set. Gerard Pique Jersey . As both players sat on the sideline during the changeover before Federer was going to serve to try to force a fifth set, most of the nearly 15,000 spectators began chanting "Ro-ger! Ro-ger! Ro-ger!" Federer did extend the match.MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo was suspended one game by the NBA on Saturday for punching New Orleans Pelicans centre Greg Stiemsma in the throat. The incident occurred with 1:52 remaining in the first quarter of Milwaukees 112-104 loss to the Pelicans on Friday. Mayo got tied up with Stiemsma as he tried to get around a screen set by the big man. "Certainly we dont want to respond the way O.J. did," Milwaukee coach Larry Drew said before his team played the Washington Wizards. "We want to be a little more under control." Mayo was assessed a flagrant foul 2 and ejected. It was the second consecutive game the Bucks, who have the worst record in the NBA, had a plaayer miss a game for punching an opponent. Xavi Hernandez Jersey. Forward Ersan Ilyasova missed Friday nights 112-104 loss at New Orleans for punching Sacramentos Reggie Evans in the stomach on Wednesday night. "Two unfortunate suspensions," Drew said. "If you are around this thing long enough, you will experience things that just seem to happen in the NBA. "Emotions get high, and both incidents were two isolated incidents," he said. "Its just from being competitive, and in Ersan Ilyasovas case, playing against a physical guy." Drew said guard Tony Mitchell, signed to a 10-day contract on Tuesday, might get extra playing time against the Wizards. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

The agent for Browns free agent safety T. Ch

CLEVELAND - The agent for Browns free agent safety T. Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic .J. Ward says the Pro Bowler remains hopeful of signing a long-term deal with the team. Ward is eligible to hit the open market next week. His agent, Josh Arnold, said in a statement Tuesday that he began "detailed contract discussions" with "multiple" Browns executives at the NFL combine in Indianapolis last month and that the talks have continued. However, the sides have not yet reached an agreement. Ward is coming off his best season as a pro. On Monday, the Browns placed their transition tag on centre Alex Mack and not Ward, who started all 16 games and made a career-high 129 tackles with two interceptions last season. Arnold said he and Ward "remain open to further discussions with the Browns." The Browns drafted Ward in the second round in 2010. Cheap NFL Jerseys Free Shipping . Then, just as her testimony was about to finish, she broke down in tears at what she said was the memory of the screams she heard on the night that the double-amputee athlete fatally shot his girlfriend in his South African home. LONDON, Ont. -- So Yeon Ryu pulled away from the pack at the Canadian Pacific Womens Open with a second straight bogey-free round. Ryu shot a 6-under 66 Friday at London Hunt and Country Club to get to 15 under, the best two-round start in the tournaments history and five strokes ahead of fellow South Korean Na Yeon Choi, playing partner Anna Nordqvist and Danielle Kang. "A lot of birdies is still a good sign, but no bogeys is more (of) a great sign because it means I play really consistent and when I was in trouble I handled it pretty well," she said. "Thats my goal. I aim for the bogey-free round all four days." If Ryu keeps it up over the weekend, shell have a good chance at winning her first tournament since the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic in 2012. With eight top-10 finishes this year, including a tie for fifth at the U.S. Womens Open, she hasnt been far off. Even amid her victory drought, Ryu tries not to complain or worry. "Im happy to be just travelling all around the world," she said. "Im really happy to show my golf swing and my golf game to all golf fans. The thing is to not really think about the result thing. Im playing golf and Im happy." Ryu "absolutely" is happier when playing the kind of golf she has over the past couple of days. She returned to the same local restaurant, Izakaya Shogun Japanese Sushi & Grill, Thursday night that she had dinner at with South Korean teammates the previous day -- for takeout this time -- and said shed have to think about it again before her third round. Whatever Ryu is eating, the rest of the field will have what shes having. "So Yeon is probably making everything she looks at," said Cristie Kerr, the champion the last time this tournament was in London back in 2006, who shot a 4-under 68 Friday to get to 9 under. American Brittany Lincicome, who was a runner-up to Inbee Park at last weeks LPGA Championship, had the best round of the day with a 65 to move to 8 under. Lincicome said her confidence level was "really high." "I felt really confident when I stepped on the first hole," she said. "It was a very smooth day and it was nice to get some putts to fall." Joining Lincicome at 8 under were Lizette Salas, Lindsey Wright, Mi Hyang Lee and Xi Yu Lin. Four Canadians were among the 87 players who made the cut: Jennifer Kirby of Paris, Ont., at 5 under and amateurs Brooke Henderson of Smithss Falls, Ont. Cheap NFL Jerseys Stitched. and Jennifer Ha of Calgary at 3 under and Sue Kim of Langley, B.C., at 1 under. The other 11 in the field finished at even or over par to miss. Henderson had missed the cut in this tournament in her two previous appearances but is now 4 for 4 making the cut in LPGA Tour events this year. But she wasnt satisfied despite shooting a 71. "Honestly, today, I couldve easily been five-under," Henderson said. "I had so many opportunities for birdie inside 10 feet and just didnt capitalize on them." Nordqvist felt the same way playing with Ryu but struggling with her putter. "I was trying to keep up with her on the greens," the Swede said. "I played really well today, too, and I couldnt seem to make any putts. ... Its a bit frustrating, but she played really well and I try to feed off her." One of the last players to tee off Friday, Kang saw Ryus 15 under and didnt let it bother her. Instead, she watched the leaderboard with delight thinking about what she can do on this course. "That tells me that there are birdies out there," said Kang, who borrowed defending champion and friend Lydia Kos ball marker after forgetting her own. "You just got to go by the scoreboard, the scoreboard tells you everything you need to know." Like a lot of players, Choi wasnt focused on others performances before she teed off. The 2012 U.S. Womens Open champion also took a different approach Thursday night after shooting a 64, going shopping and to the movie theatre to see "Into the Storm." "I just tried to relax," Choi said. "Always when I think about too much golf, even off the golf course, it sometimes gives me a lot of stress." Choi stressed about her driver after shooting a 70 Friday to tie Nordqvist for second. Its her hope that fixing a left hook in her swing can help her stay in the hunt. Kang, a 21-year-old from San Francisco, is in contention and feeling confident going into the weekend. "Theres a lot of people contending, and theres a lot of birdies out there and everyones shooting low, so youve just got to keep making birdies," she said. Notes -- American Jessica Korda had a hole-in-one on the eight, drilling an 8 iron from 147 yards from the tee. She shot a 70 to get to 4 under through two rounds. ... Organizers waived the $10 parking fee for the weekend to encourage more fans to come out to the course. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ichushkin scored two goals and Jamie Benn notched his 100th

DALLAS -- Valeri Nichushkin was in the right place at the right time -- twice -- on Thursday night. http://www.airmaxbotylevne.cz/panske-cerny-bile-air-max-2016-leather-boty.html . Nichushkin scored two goals and Jamie Benn notched his 100th career goal and added three assists to lead the Dallas Stars to a 7-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Nichushkin, a rookie, had his first two-goal game to bring his season total to 11 goals in 48 games. He deflected Benns shot into the net for a 3-1 lead in the second period against Bernier, and put in a rebound in the third against Reimer. "Its funny how that works," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "He got one off his skate when he was in the right spot, and he got a rebound when he was right in front. He has had some nice opportunities for him that havent gone in." Cody Eakin added a goal and an assist, and Alex Goligowski, Sergei Gonchar and Tyler Seguin each had two assists for the Stars, who broke open a 2-1 lead with four second-period goals and ended Torontos six-game winning streak. Dallas won its second game in a row since ending a 1-8-1 slide. On Tuesday, the Stars shut out the Minnesota Wild, who had won seven of their nine previous games. "Something we wanted to do in this game was build off last game," Benn said. "Its two pretty good games in a row, pretty good in all three zones and we eliminated our turnovers." Kari Lehtonen made 24 saves against the Maple Leafs to record his 200th career victory. Nikolai Kulemin had the lone goal for Toronto. After Nichushkins first goal, Toronto coach Randy Carlyle replaced Jonathan Bernier with James Reimer, who allowed the final four goals, including one on a power play by Shawn Horcoff and one short-handed by Rich Peverley. "I think (the goalies) fit in with the rest of our team," Carlyle said. "Im not going to throw those guys in any more than the rest of the group. We just didnt have anything going." Added Reimer: "Its tough coming in cold, but thats my job as a professional. Tonight, I was the backup goalie and I had to be ready for anything. Im pretty disappointed in myself that I couldnt make some saves early to kind of keep it close." Nichushkin had been moved off the line with Benn and Seguin, and had complained of being fatigued. He had been a healthy scratch for the first time this season for games Saturday and Monday. "His energy is back up," Ruff said. Trevor Daley also scored in the second period while each team had only four skaters on the ice. "(Special teams have) been real important," Ruff said. "The power play has been really good, and we had a big kill when they could have gotten back in the game." Benn had given the Stars a short-lived 1-0 lead at 7:09 of the first period. His drive from the top of the slot went over Bernier and under the crossbar. Thirty seconds later, Kulemin tied the game by deflecting a similar shot by teammate Carl Gunnarsson past Lehtonen. The Stars regained the lead at 15:47 when Eakin fired a shot from the top of the right faceoff circle for his 12th goal, just 12 seconds after Dallas killed a penalty. Nichushkin extended the Stars advantage to 3-1 at 6:36 of the second period when he deflected in Benns shot from the blue line. Roger Penskes team announced Wednesday that the Colombian driver will add two NASCAR races -- Indianapolis and Michigan -- to his full-time IndyCar schedule. Montoya already is scheduled to compete in the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis on May 10. One week later, he will attempt to qualify for the Indianapolis 500. Now hell return to Indy for the Brickyard 400 in July, too, and if he qualifies for each one, Montoya would be the first driver to start three feature races at Indy in the same season. "Three chances gives me a better chance of winning one of them now," said Montoya, who will drive the No. 12 Ford Fusion for Penskes team at Indy and Michigan. No driver has won even two of the biggest feature races at the track -- the 500, the Brickyard, the U.S. Grand Prix or the MotoGP race. Montoya wants to be the first to have it on his already unique resume. The 38-year-old was dominant in his 2000 Indy win, becoming the first rookie winner in 34 years. He completed another first Wednesday -- becoming the first driver to experience every racing configuration at the historic Brickyard. In addition to competing on the 2.5-mile oval in IndyCars and Cup cars, he also has competed on the original road course in Formula One, did a two-seater ride on the MotoGP course and was one of about two dozen drivers testing Indys new road course Wednesday. This years return to open-wheel cars could help him prepare for the June 15 and July 27 Cup races. He has competed in that series for the previous eight years. "I think running Michigan and here are two tracks where running open-wheel helps you, especially Michigan, which is a lot like an open-wheel car because you dont slow down much and use momentum and lot of high speed," Montoya said. "Coming here to the Brickyard, its one of those places where I feel like I got robbed a few times. To be able to come here and be able to close that deal will be really, really nice."" Montoya has two wiins, 24 top-five finishes and nine pole awards in his Cup career.http://www.airmaxbotylevne.cz/cerny-hyper-fialova-ruzove-nike-air-max-2015-damske.html. . He has one top-10 finish in three IndyCar races this year. He will join Penskes full-time Cup drivers, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, both of whom have already visited Victory Lane in 2014. Ryan Blaney will drive the same No. 12 car for NASCAR races in Kansas and Talladega. SKF will sponsor all the races except Indianapolis. Until moving back this season, Montoya hadnt driven IndyCars since 2000 when he was competing with Chip Ganassis team, Penkses biggest rival. Montoya won seven races in CART and the 500 in his two open-wheel seasons with Ganassi. Their run together also included the 1999 CART championship. He then moved to Formula One, where he spent six seasons before abruptly quitting to return to the United States to compete in NASCAR. He reunited with Ganassi, but the results never came. His last win in NASCAR was in 2010, a year after he made the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship and finished a career-best eighth in the standings. Montoya was in serious contention to win at least two Brickyard 400s, but both chances slipped away in the waning laps. Montoya led 116 laps in 2009 until a speeding penalty on his final pit stop cost him the win. He was also leading in 2010 with 20 laps to go before a late caution sent him to pit road, where he got four tires while everyone else took two. Stuck deep in traffic with little time to make up the ground, Montoya crashed and finished 32nd. Penskes team is willing to give him another chance. "It (the Brickyard) is one of the biggest races of the year and to go there with somebody that could have won the race a few of times already is something that were looking forward to," Team Penske President Tim Cindric said. "To just run the Brickyard would be a pretty big ask of our team and of Juan, without having spent much time in our cars or having been out in a Cup car for a while, so we felt like we needed to give him another shot at it prior to the Brickyard so he could get ready for us." Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

a Bryzgalov on Tuesday in conjunction with their decis

ST. Jeremain Lens Netherland Jersey . PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota Wild traded for goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday in conjunction with their decision to shut down ailing veteran Niklas Backstrom. The Wild sent a fourth-round draft pick to Edmonton to complete the deal one day before the NHL trade deadline. General manager Chuck Fletcher said the team must assume that neither Backstrom nor Josh Harding will be healthy enough to mind the net again this season. Rookie Darcy Kuemper has been stellar in their absence, but with a finishing stretch of 20 games in 37 days starting Saturday, hes not enough. "We have a lot of work ahead of us to get where we want to get to, but clearly having two quality goaltenders was very important," Fletcher said. Kuemper has started 15 straight games, so Bryzgalov is more for insurance, though hes certain to have his time, too. The Wild are 14-4-2 in 2014 and in firm control of the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference playoff race. "I will do my job as best I can. Making the decisions on who is supposed to play is not my job," Bryzgalov said on a conference call. He added: "I look at this as a great opportunity for me to play, and yeah its like a new challenge." Backstrom has been bothered by injuries all season, most notably to his midsection that will probably prompt surgery, and the 36-year-old has a career-worst 3.02 goals-against average over 21 games. Fletcher told him Monday of their preference to hold him out until training camp. "His pain threshold is tremendous," Fletcher said. "Hes a competitive guy and I know hes really disappointed because the team has taken a really strong step the last couple months. Hes been through some of the lean times, and I know he wants to be a part of it but our goal for Nik is to get him healthy." Harding was superb early in the season, but the 2013 Masterton Trophy winner -- for sportsmanship, dedication and perseverance -- has not played at all in 2014 due to illness related to medication for multiple sclerosis. With not much more than a month left in the regular season and Harding not yet ready to resume skating, Fletcher said hes probably finished until the fall, too. The search for a replacement intensified in the last couple of days. Martin Brodeur and Jaroslav Halak also were potentially available via trade, but their price was far higher than what it took to nab Bryzgalov. The 33-year-old Russian has a 5-8-5 record in 20 games for the Oilers this season, with an ugly 3.01 goals-against average. Hes on an expiring contract, a requirement for the Wild. This is a rental, plain and simple. Thats largely because Kuemper has tied a Wild rookie record with 11 wins and since Jan. 7 has a 1.70 GAA with two shutouts and a .939 save percentage. "Weve always felt hed be a very good No. 1 goalie down the road, and we just didnt realize down the road would mean this January and February," Fletcher said. The pick sent to Edmonton was originally acquired last year from Buffalo in the trade that brought first-line right wing Jason Pominville to Minnesota. Bryzgalov has 38 games of playoff experience over five postseasons with Anaheim, Phoenix and Philadelphia, including three stellar starts against the Wild in the Western Conference quarterfinals in 2007. He stopped 73 of 77 shots in the first three games of that series, all Ducks victories. Bryzgalov struggled in defeat in the next game, Jean-Sebastien Giguere replaced him thereafter and the Ducks went on to win the Stanley Cup. Bryzgalovs career record is 213-157-50, including a 42-20-6 mark for the Coyotes during the 2009-10 season, his best in the NHL. He had a 2.29 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Then came his ill-fated time in Philadelphia. The Flyers signed him to a $51 million, nine-year contract in 2011 and used a salary-cap compliance buyout to release him last June, just two seasons into the megadeal. General manager Paul Holmgren said then the contract was "a costly mistake." Bryzgalov didnt sign with the Oilers until last November. After signing goalie Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract extension last week, the Oilers took their first step away from Bryzgalov. Then they acquired goalie Viktor Fasth from Anaheim on Tuesday for a fifth-round draft pick this summer and a third-round selection in 2015. Joel Veltman Jersey . The moves were the first punitive steps taken by the Dolphins since a report on the NFLs investigation of the case was released last week. Investigators found that guard Richie Incognito and two teammates engaged in persistent harassment directed at tackle Jonathan Martin, another offensive lineman and an assistant trainer. Dirk Kuyt Jersey . In one of several tweets he sent Tuesday night, Incognito thanked his family and friends for their support. The tweets were the first from Incognito since Feb. 18, before he underwent unspecified treatment. A person familiar with Incognitos situation said the veteran lineman was exhausted after being "dragged through the mud" in recent months.Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried was able to carry the momentum from his starring role on Team USA this summer into the NBA regular season. Faried had 22 points, 17 rebounds and four assists in Denvers season-opening 89-79 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Fresh off helping the United States win gold and earning All-Tournament honors at the FIBA World Cup, Faried was at his best for the playoff-hopeful Nuggets. Denver missed the postseason a year ago, finishing with 21 fewer wins than the 2012-13 season while dealing with a number of injuries. Every night I have to go out there and prove myself, Faried said. Finally healthy, these Nuggets hope to contend in a crowded Western Conference. Arron Afflalo chipped in 15 points and Timofey Mozgov tallied 13 and 11 rebounds. All 12 Nuggets that took the floor scored at least two points. Josh Smith netted a game-high 25 points to lead Detroit, which was without forward Greg Monroe, who is serving a suspension for a DUI arrest last February and is out for the first two games of this season. We just never got into any flow offensively, Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy said. Denver led by two through three quarters and put the game away early in the fourth despite shooting just 5-for-22 in the period. One of those buckets was an 18-foot jumper by Faried, who hit it 12 seconds after checking in to extend the lead to six at the 5:48 mark. Georginio Wijnaldum Jersey. Detroit scored the next four points on layups from Andre Drummond and A.J. Augustin to get within two. Out of a timeout, Faried hit a pair of free throws amd Mozgov made one of two from the stripe before his tip-slam made it 84-77. The Nuggets made just 5-of-8 from the foul line after that, but got enough stops to hold off the visiting Pistons. Neither team led by more than six points during a balanced first half that featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes. Denver led by three after Nate Robinsons three-point play at 7:35 of the second, but the Pistons countered with nine in a row. Jonas Jerebko knotted the score with a triple and Kyle Singler capped the run with a 3-ball less than a minute later. The Nuggets responted from there, with Ty Lawsons step-back jumper near the end of the half sending Denver into the locker room leading 42-40. Afflalo came alive in the third, dropping 10 points on 4-of-6 to help Denver hold onto its lead. The teams played to a draw in the period, and the spread was 65-63 heading into the fourth. Game Notes The Nuggets have won six straight games in the series ... Denver outrebounded the Pistons, 51-45 ... Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, starting for the injured Jodie Meeks, shot 3-of-19 from the floor. Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Top 5 picks have done just that over the weekend in Indianapolis.

The NFL Combine is a perfect time to impress scouts with impressive workout numbers, and two potential Top 5 picks have done just that over the weekend in Indianapolis. Adidas Superstar 2 Womens Australia . While the spotlight has been on potential first overall draft pick Jadeveon Clowney and his 40-yard time, and top quarterback prospect Blake Bortles during the throwing drills, top prospects Greg Robinson and Sammy Watkins have impressed scouts enough to solidify or even boost their spots on draft boards. Robinson, a 65 and 320 pound offensive tackle from Auburn, ran a blistering (relatively speaking) 4.84 40-yard dash. To listen to the chatter in Indy this weekend tell it, Robinsons stock is soaring to the point where he may have overtaken Texas A&Ms Jake Matthews as the top OT in the draft. Watkins meanwhile, ran a very impressive 40-yard dash himself, clocking in at 4.34 and 4.37. The 61, 205 pound receiver from Clemson has separated himself from Marqise Lee and others as the clear-cut top pass catcher in this years draft. Respected draftnik Mike Mayock of NFL Network has gone so far to say Watkins he thinks Watkins is a franchise receiver. The junior could go as high as second overall to the St. Louis Rams. Other players who helped their cause over the weekend include Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans and Fresno State Derek Carr.Evans has been somewhat of a forgotten man sitting behind Watkins and Lee on draft boards at the receiver position. But after putting up some strong numbers to go along with his freakish wingspan, could see the redshirt sophomore finish the weekend on Lees tail for second receiver to be taken. After a poor showing in the Las Vegas Bowl dropped Carr out of the first-round in many draftniks minds and mock drafts, Carr has done some tremendous damage control in the off-season. Starting with the Senior Bowl and continuing this weekend at the Combine, Carrs performances have boosted his stock back into the first round and perhaps as high as the Top 10. The Minnesota Vikings, picking eighth overall and in need of a quarterback, could take a long look at the senior if the top three – Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, and Bortles – are off the board. And speaking of Manziel, the exciting quarterback spent most of the weekend trying to prove to teams hes more Johnny Manziel than Johnny Football, but in the tests he went through, he impressed for the most part. Manziels 40-yard time of 4.68 was strong and while he measured in a little short for most teams liking – a shade under 60 – his hand size was certainly NFL caliber. Adidas Superstar Blue For Sale .ca. Hi Kerry, Appreciate all your insight into what goes on in games.  Im just looking for an explanation - in Wednesdays Flyers-Capitals game, why didnt Wayne Simmonds receive a third-man in during the line brawl last night? He clearly grabbed Erskine, who was engaged with Lecavalier, allowing Vinnie a free cheap-shot right to the mush!Thanks,Chris --- Hey Kerry, Seeing the Flyers-Caps line brawl last night, whats the most interesting story from your officiating days when it came to breaking them up? Paul McLane Chris: You are correct in your assessment that Wayne Simmonds deserved a game misconduct when he grabbed John Erskine around the neck allowing Vincent Lecavalier a free shot as the players fell to the ice. Yeezy Boost 350 Oxford Tan Price . The Prince George Cougars and Regina Pats have both entered agreements to transfer ownership, the WHL said Wednesday in a statement. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Oakland had a chance to upset No. 5 Michigan State on Saturday. It just couldnt keep up with the Spartans on the glass. Duke Mondy scored 24 points, but the Golden Grizzlies were outrebounded by nine during a 67-63 loss to Branden Dawson and Michigan State. "There are no moral victories here at Oakland," coach Greg Kampe said, thanking Tom Izzo for scheduling his team. "We passed that point of being close long ago. We were close again and just couldnt beat them." Mondy, the nations leader in steals, had seven swipes for the Golden Grizzlies (2-9). Travis Bader, who grew up in the shadows of Michigan State, had 18 points and Corey Petros added 11 for Oakland, winless in 12 games in the series. I had seven steals?" Mondy said. "I didnt even know that. I have great anticipation. Im not a gambler, but I like to gamble sometimes." Bader went 4 for 14 from long range to move within 56 3-pointers of J.J. Redicks NCAA record, drawing rave reviews from Izzo. "I love that kid," Izzo said of Bader, the son of his former director of basketball operations. "I grew up with that kid, and he grew up with me. If ever a kid deserves success, its him. I hope he breaks the record." Izzo had no idea how Dawson would play after he challenged the enigmatic forward following a disappointing effort against North Carolina. He got the answer he was looking for in a home game for Oakland at The Palace. Dawson had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the short-handed Spartans (8-1), who were rusty and turnover-prone after a 10-day break. "I thought Dawson really responded today," Izzo said. "I got after him pretty good." Dawson took only two shots and had two turnovers in 17 minutes during Michigan States 79-65 home loss to the Tar Heels on Dec. 4. It was a much different story against the Golden Grizzllies, with Dawson going 7 for 13 from the field and blocking three shots in 36 minutes. Adidas Nmd Black. "There was a different mindset and definitely a different approach," Dawson said. "Id just had one of the worst games since Ive been here against North Carolina. So the guys all pushed me, and Coach talked to me." Keith Appling scored 18 of his 21 points in the second half for the Spartans, and Adreian Payne had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Michigan State played without leading scorer Gary Harris, who is nursing an ankle injury. The Spartans also were without big men Matt Costello (mononucleosis) and Kenny Kaminski (academic suspension). The Golden Grizzlies jumped to a 20-12 lead, taking advantage of the Spartans sloppiness. Oakland had four assists on its first five baskets, while Michigan State was recording one assist and committing seven turnovers. "The start they had kept them in the game," Izzo said. "If wed gotten them down early, maybe some of those losses theyve had wouldve mounted." Michigan State managed to rally for a 35-31 lead early in the second half on two jumpers by Appling. But Oakland wouldnt go away. Baders third 3 tied it at 50 with 7:44 to play. He was 4 for 14 from long range. An Appling 3 and a Bader turnover helped Michigan State take a five-point advantage, its largest of the day to that point. Another Bader turnover and a layup and free throw by Appling built the cushion to 58-50 and seemed to create some daylight. "They were just so physical," Kampe said. "A couple of our bigger backups are out for the season, and we just dont have the size to match them. We werent physical enough, and Dawson had his way down in there." The Golden Grizzlies closed to 60-56 with 2:42 left. But Travis Trice hit a 3 at the end of the shot clock to give the Spartans a seven-point edge.Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Authentic China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
